So I got back from town about two hours ago - I'm whipped! lol had lots of fun, though!

I decided NOT to buy a diaper bag, because the one I already have isn't showing wear and tear - and who says I have to have pink anyway???? The bag I already have is solid black with a silver heart for trim.

Walmart:
Found a couple cute outfits on clearance, and then picked up two more sleepers and a couple cute onesies. I also got nursing pads, other pads *blushes*, two more packs of hangers (still don't think I have enough), and a brite stars bouncer. I also got a little stuffed Disney Marie - which wasn't a need, but it was cute and matched the 3 piece outfit I got on clearance. Plus I bought Borax and Washing Soda, so now I have everything I need to make laundry soap! YAY!

Then, my friend (who shall remain nameless) and I got really smart, and thought we'd stop at Khol's but ONLY to get the gown I was wanting for a take me home outfit.

That didn't go as planned. :hide

Eight outfits (which did include the gown I wanted) and 2 hats later.....we were in the car heading for home....On the upside, nothing was Full price, and there was even an extra 15% off at the check out.

My friend and I have no will power.

I'm so behind.

Just got in from finishing up with the poultry chores - but between yesterday and today, think I over did it with my ankle, so sitting with it propped up for a few minutes.

I assigned the oldest 2 kids to dish duty - one washing one rinsing. It's not going to kill them.

Have got through 3 loads of laundry so far. Still have about 4 more to do I think, plus all the new stuff I just got for Baby Girl this weekend.

Also plan to get my stuff ready for soap making! Finally have everything I need to make a batch of homemade laundry soap.

I am hoping to bake a few pies yet tonight - but it's getting fairly late so not sure that's happening, but I need to do it.

Also, since I have the gown that I want baby girl to wear home from the hospital, I'm ready to pack our hospital bags. This is totally stupid, but I didn't want to pack bags before I had the gown I wanted because I was afraid I'd go early or that packing the bags might bring labor early :D I know, silly.

Anyway, my flock numbers increased, too. By at least 12. I got a trio of Blue Ameracaunas from BeccaOh, 8 more BBS Marans, and 1 Iffy pullet, that I think is an Ameracauna but she thought might possibly be a Maran with a slow to grow comb ? :idunno She's cute, so I'll hang onto her for awhile and see what she becomes :) and what color egg she lays :D

My parents stopped in last night. My step dad asked if I still needed a carseat, and I said yes, but that I had a friend who's offered me the one she just finished using for her son. It's black, etc. My step dad said, "I thought you had one picked out with butterflies on it?" I said I did, but didn't think it was necessary to get it now, especially since it's a whole travel system etc. etc. He said, "We'll get it for you." I said you don't have to, but he kept insisting and almost seemed to act like his feelings were hurt. I told him it wasn't necessary to spend $100 on a travel system, especially when there are cheaper carseats out there, and I have the chance for a free one, but my mom said, "Stop, let him if that's what he wants to do."

:idunno so I guess I'm getting a brand new travel system with pink butterflies all over it???

then my Cousin messages me on FB and says she and my Aunt mailed a 4lb box of baby clothes to me on Friday. FOUR POUNDS OF BABY CLOTHES! :th I knew they had picked up a couple things at a yard sale for me, and I said that was great! Then my cousin said Aunt H found several dresses that she felt Baby Girl "had to have", so it put the box up to 4 lbs! :th

Then, another Aunt from my Dad's side in Georgia said she is sending out a package this week via UPS, and she said she filled it with clothes and a couple special things.

How's a gal supposed to sit and wait for all these packages??!! :pop The wait is KILLING me! hahaha!

On the upside, we're 36 days from Baby! YAY!!

Once again going to bed wishing I had accomplished more today.

I did get half of the kitchen cleaned up, thanks to E helping me.

I also washed 4 loads of laundry. Seriously, those clothes had better quit breeding. Dang if there isn't a spay/neuter program for laundry!!

Went through the baby's things, because we've acquired so much, there's no way we'd use it all. Was planning to donate all of the surplus to Wellspring Pregnancy Center for other mom's in need, but just found out that one of my cousins is having a girl - due in January - so I think I may send her some of the stuff.

Thought I'd get hospital bags packed today. :hide I really need to quit dragging my feet on that.

I packed my hospital bag for my son's pregnancy and put it in the trunk and then my water broke and I couldn't get to it....it had my pads in it *blush* and I didn't want to drip all over the floor so my BF's husband brought it to me in the bathroom when he came to pick me up to go to the hospital.

Knowing my luck if I ever had another child I'd pack the darn thing and forget where I put it

Take it easy on that ankle!

:woot on the overabundance! It's always awesome when you end up with too much of something!! My suggestion for those clothes is, pick one or two outfits from each family member that sent you clothes, take pictures of the baby in them, and then donate whatever you want to :) This way the relatives at least have the allusion that you kept everything they especially handpicked just for you, and gave away the stuff from the other, less worthy, relatives! :gig :gig :gig my stepsister did that with her children and kept the relatives all happy! :) And maybe include a note to the effect of "I had my darling sweet daughter in this wonderful outfit of yours the other day and three women stopped me to ask where I got the lovely outfit. I told them how grateful I was to receive this outfit from you. Please find inclosed a picture of darling daughter in the best outfit in the world!" etc etc :)

As a side note, hurrah on the new birds!! I've had to stop looking at craigslist period because I want to look and see who is giving away birds in my area :D

I'm definitely not hoarding everything we've been given.

I ended up with 2 cribs. We set up the one we wanted.

I learned yesterday about a lady having a baby girl in December. She needs a crib and stuff. So, I have a small box of blankets and clothes and baby skin products to give to her. The contact is picking up the crib and the box of baby stuff. I also have a bag of blankets for her. So, several things are leaving today :)

E voiced some concern that it COULD be a scam, and I might see the items for sale on the FB page that I made the contact through. Honestly, I don't care. It will bother me if I'm lied to, but we really don't have the space to store the stuff. I told E if they are scamming, there's still a plus side to it - 1) we don't have to store the crib, clothes, blankets, etc that I won't be using 2) not out the gas to go donate the items anywhere and 3) none of the items I'm donating are the brand new things that were purchased and/or made for Baby girl (that almost makes me sound greedy huh?)

I also have 3 strollers - we're keeping the one from keljonma, and i'm donating the other two plus the blue baby seat I probably won't use. I'm really happy to see the items go to someone who can use them :)

Doing more laundry today. That's the only goal I'm setting for today I think....have all the laundry washed!

Yesterday I lost my cool when I saw how trashed the kids had my laundry room - meaning, they threw dirty clothes EVERYWHERE and I couldn't see the floor!

So I made them ALL mad by making them sort the laundry to be washed.

Then we washed and washed and washed. :p

Then I swept and mopped the laundry floor.

Made the boys clean up their room.

Then I gave two of them haircuts - that they didn't like but too bad. Mom's choice.

I also packed the bag for Baby girl yesterday. Yay.

Today I -

cleaned kitchen

set up the bouncer

set up the highchair

cleaned the livingroom

did even MORE laundry

showered

and am now making dinner.

After dinner we're taking the kids down to the walking trail and taking a little walk and hopefully wear them out so they sleep in tomorrow

Tomorrow we're going to get new shoes for school in the afternoon.

In the morning and evenig DD and I will be baking pies to take to the Roger's Sale Friday evening! We even have a sitter for the boys! YAY!

QA, here is that long awaited link for the baby carrier.
http://www.make-baby-stuff.com/mei-tai-carrier.html
I made mine without the color inserts. Much easier.
And, I made mine from a heavy weight twill curtain that was laying around!
Also, I made mine narrower then she called for.

ETA This is a carrier for bigger babies. Not for newborns.
