My goodness it has been a day here! lol
Do ya'll remember when I posted about my soon to be ferret, Chance? He was in a TN shelter, and was supposed to be transported to Ohio back in December. Well, that didn't happen and I'd given up on him coming.
Well, he came today! I was so excited and I wanted to have my home somewhat presentable for company, so I started working on things.
First, I figured I would make sure our toilet was flushed, since we haul the water ya know...yea well...it was clogged! I didn't know that, though, so I flushed it....over flowed over my entire bathroom floor! GREAT! SURE of ALL the days that this could happen! It picks TODAY! I cleaned it up and moved on to getting calves fed.
I fixed up Chase's bottle. I had it a little too warm, so I set it on the counter to cool for a few minutes before taking it out to him. I sat down in my chair talked to hubby for a few minutes. Got up, grabbed Chase's bottle...top wasn't screwed on, milk went everywhere!
I let my temper get the better of me. I wanted to cry. Here I wanted to make my house a little presentable, and I was messing it up MORE!
I called my mom and asked her if the older kids could spend the day with her, because I was getting frustrated and I was afraid my frustration would spill over on them. Mom said sure, and came right over.
After the kids went to g-ma's DH helped me clean the kitchen, feed the animals, and then he fixed me a nice cup of coffee! That was so good!
I called my friends who were bringing me Chance, and found out they were lost!!!!!!!! So we talked them through finding the right way to our house. Thirty minutes later they were pulling in our driveway, and I met Chance for the first time!!!

I have pictures of them several pages back in my journal. We might be getting another girl ferret from the same shelter in a few months. Her name is Izzy B. Ferret lol.
Some days...it seems l want tothrow my hands up and say..." why try?" LOL So glad you finally "found" your friends..LOL What a pretty ferret. I have never owned one....but jeesh! They are cute! Congrats on finally getting him home!
