Aly, I simply love the pics!!! Elroy is a treasure! Soooooo photogenic! Your flocks and animals all look so amazingly healthy and happy.... makes you want to send a photo to you-know-who with a raspberry smiley, huh?

But the best pics of all? You and your little one! :)
Really, Bee, I have no clue what you are talking about!

Hope everyone is staying warm, QA!
Actually, it is quite warm!!! I'm ready for a t-shirt!!

Looks like we are going to have house guests indefinitely. DH's sister (the SIL I like!) and her oldest two children and one grandchild may be moving in with us. I cannot share the reasons, as it is personal, but suffice to say, they needed somewhere to go, and we stepped up.

Sis was surprised that we were so willing to help, kept crying and telling us how much she loved us. Our nephew kept telling us he'd make things right with us, DH told him, "I just want Sis to come have coffee with me and she can help me weed the garden this spring." He followed that up by saying knowing his Sis is safe is thanks enough.

We are looking for a used, cheap trailer that we can pull in and set up for her on one of our lots. My older two kids are excited about it as they love their Aunt and haven't seen her in 4 years. The younger boys don't know her.

Right now they are in another state, and we aren't sure when they will be arriving. Sometime in the next 2-4 weeks at the earliest.

In other news, I have 3 people coming to buy chicks this week. One lady has asked for 25-50 chicks and the other two people said they are coming together and would like a total of 80 chicks. WOOT! I am looking forward to saying goodbye to these chicks!!!

A few years back my hubby came home and announced that his brother was moving into our basement due to some personal circumstances. At the time we had a full house with 3 teens, but there was never a moment of hesitation on anyone's part.

That is just what family is for. Great job Quail!

Ok, please excuse me, but this next sentence will be all caps, and imagine I am screaming excitedly!!!

I SOLD ALL OF THE CHICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so they aren't leaving tonight, but the people are on their way right now to put a 50% down payment on ALL of the chicks for me to hold them until Saturday. They need the next few days to get their brooders ready, and then Saturday they are coming out to pick up the chicks!

I am so excited!!!

Good job, Aly!!! On the chicks AND on the mission of mercy! Many hands make light work....maybe this was just meant to happen, huh? More people to benefit from your SS life, more people to teach it to, more people to help you accomplish it. You are a gem! :hugs

All I can say is, everything is in God's timing. :)

Oh, and the people getting the chicks, they loved them! They came in and commented that they couldn't believe how quiet the chicks were. They had a little boy with them, who saw my Welsummer mixed chicks, so they asked if those go, too and I said, "No, those I hatched for my own flock." I tried to be very polite, but no way am I letting my Wellie mixes go LOL
