*face that is green with envy* I wish I had some duck or goose eggs.

TUTORIAL ON EGG BLOWING
Collect your eggs
Wash the eggs
Grab your largest SHARP needle
Apply a pc of tape the each end of the egg
Mark the CENTER of each end
Place the needle on the mark and twist as you apply pressure
Once the needle is thru, try to enlarge it a bit (if you think it is a big
enough hole than stop now
Take an 8" pc of 20ga bead craft wire
Keep 6" straight, but wrap the other 2" around say....an in pen. So it
looks like a miniature straight whisk. Do not put the spirals close
together, You will see in a minute
Spiral the wire into your egg, once in you need to carefully move it side
to side and up and down. there, your egg has been scrambled
You all know how to blow it out right? Take the tape off when done.

Since I live in the middle of nowhere, I was unable to find the hangers for them. Hubby made the hangers. But if you can find these hangers then that is all you need. They are hangers like the old metal wires on christmas tree ornaments. YOU KNOW, the wire that went down the neck of the ornament and spreads out to hold itself in? then you put a hook on the little loop sticking out? Remember? Well nowadays, it seems all you can find are the filigreed metal caps they put over the necks that the hook goes on.

LOL any more questions?
Any of you offering to send me some duck eggs? Goose eggs? lol

I am going to Pat Cataan's while I am out today to see if I can find some ornament tops to use.
I am hoping to have one more duck egg when I get home today so I can make a gift set of three eggs.
My duck lays so sparodically so I am praying I get one more egg or I may be using two duck eggs and then a tiny egg from my Black Jersey Giants that just started ladying.
Thank you for giving more details!

I got my eggs all blown out! I got two more duck eggs today. I was on my way to a craft show and I saw and old house that had ducks out front and she sold me two duck eggs for .25 each...that is all she had. So, I did 4 duck eggs and two tiny eggs. Then when I got to the craft show my mom said that a family friend had a ton of duck eggs....so my dad is going to stop on Wednesday and see if he can get me some because it is on his way home from work.
I am just waiting for the eggs to dry now. I went Pat Catan's and found some metal topper pieces in the jewelry department that I think are going to be perfect for the tops. I just have to add in my own metal hooks. So, I am very excited to make these in a little bit!!!

I am in Ohio.

I just posted pictures of my eggs that are drying...so they still need the top hanging pieces put on them once they are dry.

The sparkly-ness did not come out real well...but they are really sparkly!
