Well naps will have to wait today, we have company coming. This never happens around here so it is a special occasion, and we are getting three guests!

My friend whom I call Kitty here is coming to visit with her daughter, who must be going on four by now. To check out our baby animals and visit a farm. I'm super happy and excited about it. She wants to show the daughter what goat milking is like, too. And since Trouble was in so much trouble, the chores are pretty caught up around here and I can just spend the day tidying up and making things pretty, put a tablecloth on the picnic table, etc.

We also have a friend of Computer Geek coming to spend the night. The young men....they are not "boys" anymore...are staying down at our campsite. We have a travel trailer and a fire pit down at the far end of our property at a pretty spot on the trail down in the bottom of the hill part of our land. It is hooked up to electric so they can even have their internet down there. The potty is not hooked up, but I don't suppose that will bother bo.....I mean young men in the woods.

So I can't play around on the computer changing the words to songs today. hee hee Although that is fun, too.

Sounds great! I love that the young men don't need a bathroom but they have web access. :gig

You get so much done that I get tired just reading about what you do! Your naps are well deserved. And Trouble ... well, crack that whip!

Enjoy your company. You deserve to be complimented on all you've done.

Well I hope it was because you had time to rest and not because you felt ill.

I had a great afternoon! For once my vertigo didn't spoil anything. Kitty and her daughter came. The little girl emerges from the car saying, "Where are the babies?" which I could not hear but could read her lips very well. Of course Kitty was embarassed and tried to get her to say Hi first, but I understand little kids, I enjoy them a lot. I'm sure the long long ride up to my house seemed like forever to a four-year-old, it was about TIME to see those baby bunnies mom promised!

The bunnies were suitably cute and they got handled plenty today. Then we took the goats out on a "goat walk" and for once the weather cooperated and we had a nice little hike. Then when we returned, she got to feed the chickens and ducks (BOSS had them eating from her amazed hand). And then we went inside and I taught them both how to milk a goat. We will save that milk for soap, but it was fun. I realized I'm a good milker now already compared to a novice! Kitty had milk squirting all around the room just like I used to! But even the four-year-old pudgy little hands managed to make some milk come out and she was suitably amazed.

We ended our visit with some cheese and crackers (goat cheese of course). Kitty presented me with a big basket of fruit and a scented candle as a "thank you" for showing her daughter the animals. We had a heart-to-heart about my former workplace, she is familiar with what happened to me there and was able to make me feel much better about things. We ended our visit pledging to see each other again, she wants to come up with her hubby and have a barbeque with us and a bonfire. She is actually more the age of my daugher and I suggested we invite them too, so we have something to look forward to.

And now my house is all NICE and NO ONE HAD BETTER TOUCH ANYTHING.....:somad and no pooping anywhere!

I had vertigo today, so I took a nap in my tack shed after lunch. It made it so I was able to get some done.

Oh, I'm sorry. I was hoping the chiropractic would do the trick for you for awhile. Is there a big storm coming? We had that one just pass us. Approaching storm always seems to bring vertigo on for me. Sleeping is the only thing that helps.

So my seedlings got their first "hardening off" day today, we had a warm sunshiney day for the most part.

I did have to share with you all something I forgot from my story earlier. I go out this morning to prepare a visiting area, I get out the tablecloth (cloth) and the cushions for the chairs from inside the house, that don't stand the rain so well but are nice to sit on, and take my new baby seedlings out for their first sunshine. I am all satisfied how they make the table look cheery and go back in to wash the dishes.

And look out the front door five minutes later and see it SNOWING!

It was only a brief spell, but I was pretty exasperated for a few minutes there. I had to run out and cover everything real quick to keep it dry. But Murphys Law around here, is you plan on there not being rain for five minutes, that is a sure way to do a rain dance.

Sounds like you had a lovely day, other than the snow on your poor little seedlings.

I think I had the vertigo because I'm tired and stressed. I felt much better after the nap.
