Your story of Toby is heartwarming. It really touched me because we have a Chocolate Lab. He's the friendliest dog I know and my 9-year old son's best friend. You're doing a wonderful thing with the dogs.

Awwwww Toby was lucky to find you! You did a great job and a great thing!

I was reading back a little bit in your journal and you mentioned IBS....have you ever tried eliminating gluten and/or dairy?

My 17 yr old has the same potty issue, and it goes away when she is off gluten...of course she is 17 so she does not always stay off gluten! :barnie

CONGRATS on all of the blessings, I love to hear how God is working in other peoples lives :)

Dace, I have so many other diet restrictions I've actually ignored my IBS and just avoided real culprit foods or too much of anything at one time. My IBS is self diagnosed but it seems to respond nicely to the typical diets described. But I already have to have low sodium, no eggs, little wheat, little cane sugar, no caffeine, nothing with pollen, no alcohol and not too much chocolate, and nothing expensive.

Pretty soon there is nothing to eat unless I cheat somewhere. I could really use the help of a nutritionist.

Oh dang. That is tough, I am sorry! That is a lot of restrictions.

So what do you eat in a typical day?

What kind of eggs? I can't do many chicken eggs, but quail and duck eggs don't bother me.

No, I'm allergic to duck eggs too. Never tried quail.

That is why I got my cayugas last year. I sold them at a profit however so no loss. I kept the muscovy because the meat was great and I have no allergies to the meat.

When you get that spare key made put it on the truck! Unscrew the license plate and put the key on the hole and screw the license plate back on so that it is underneath. That way no one sees it but you know it is always there if you need it.

SD, just getting to this thread today. I didn't know you had IBS, too. So do I. I've found that if I eat "real" food, I don't normally have a problem w/it. It's when I eat everything I shouldn't, I have a problem. :hugs Oh, and I'm also self diagnosed. The doctor wanted to send me for tests and I refused.

Of course you do, Deb, didn't I mention it goes with MD? They don't understand the connection.
