I'll make sure I throw in a bunch of "Howdy Ya'lls" to see if I can grate on their nerves REALLY bad. This could be FUN..I am defiantely game

I've lived in SJ all my life, but every so once in awhile, I get asked what part of the south I'm from. I remember once, years ago, I was placing a phone order. And, the person had a really deep south accent. Halfway thru the order, she suddenly asked me what part of the south I was originally from. And there have been people that don't want to believe I'm telling them the truth when I say I've always lived in this area.SSDreamin said:Well, they already have picked on my strange accent - 12 years in TX and 1 in TN have made me sound like one strange YankeeWannabefree said:Other Cindi I would LOVE to come up there and properly introduce myself to your lovely family!!!![]()

I still say soda and y'all, I can't help myself! I'm usually too mad to notice, but DH says the madder I get, the more southern I sound! At least he gets chewed out by a sweet southern drawl, whats to complain about?!
