Daisy and Donki? Dorian says he's up to the challenge! If Plum continues to grow well and comes into heat in January (and if Dorian is still in rut) that will be FIVE girlfriends for the lucky little guy!
I'm sure Dorian is up to it. I'm not sure about me though. I'm terrified to be responsible for one goat kidding in my backyard. I think Daisy will be old enough/big enough by then. I doubt I will breed Donki again yet though.

Glad she is doing better. :)

How old is your buckling? AND how tall is he and your other babies? I think they are the same age as my lamb-ram. He is no taller than my knee cap. I think he is going to be small, which I think is a good thing. I don't need a huge horny ram running about. :p
The buckling is about three months old.

I will probably have to line the lower part of the fence with tarps. Old ones that can be tossed later. The daycare kids....mostly toddlers....run up to the fence to see the animals all the time. Nobody can remain THAT good of a sport!

The buckling is about three months old, just one day younger than Plum. He is just a bit more than knee-high, and a little taller than Plum. I have to take a beatin' stick in with me already. A sharp rap on the ribcage smartens him right up. I don't think it will be too hard to sell him in January if his behavior is already tiresome....six more months! :smack
My 3 1/2 m.o. ram-lamb is still cuddly and calm. I totally love it, but I'm worried that he won't have it in him when the time comes.

He probably will Sally, to the point that he'll be covered in piss and stench and come running up to you for cuddles! At least that is how Heathcliff is; and then he doesn't understand why I push him away while he's peeing on himself.

hey baby!

sorry about the headache... but thanks for the reminder to put my Ginger in the stall so i can milk "Jugs"...I mean, Debbie, how is really producing thanks to the extra good hay we got. yay!

i'm thinking i should divide up the goat yard and put Nibbles and Ginger on one side and Debbie and Vita on the other. there is no way Nibbles will let Ginger nurse off her and frankly its time she stopped sippin' off Debbie.

hope you feel better!
:)
