I have no idea what that last post was supposed to be. It was eons ago.

Today is rainy.

I have errands to run.

DS had a doctors apt for his physical. I called for an apt about his meds. They gave me a spiel about how he has not been in for two years. I said, yeah ain't that great. The nurse didn't like my answer.

Dh came home form work yesterday and had about 4 hours on the phone and his lap top with more work, calls and e mails. When we all sat down to diner he was in the middle of a call and brought his phone with him. When he and I made eye contact he got my point. :somad Geesh. He removed himself from the table and came back 15 min later. That I will not tolerate.

Twice this week I went out in the evenings to lock up my hens and turkeys. The first time I was wearing flip flops and slipped and fell flat on my back. Two days later I went out in ugg boots. Slipped again and landed hard on my bum. Now my shoulder kinda hurts. I have to remember my muck boots. The grass is wet and I am thinking turkey poop is slippery. :idunno

Yesterday I looked outside and one of my turkey hens was walking up the driveway. Which means she made it over the 5 ft fence. So I shooed her back in the gate and re trimmed the girls wings. Tom is actually gobbling now and he didn't like me holding his girls. I had to shoo him away.

I logged on line yesterday to oogle that house I like. Lo and behold the lowered the price. So I sent the real estate lady a more info request.

I was watching tv, yes tv. It was HGTV and on of those get this house sold shows. :th We have a lot to do on this house. I don't even know how that's possible with dh working so much. I can't do everything and I don't want to have to pay for everything to be done. I almost think I need to start packing. Start moving room to room and packing all unnecessary items. Clearing the clutter. Removing unnecessary furniture.

I am going to have to have an agent in soon.. :sick

My dh actually asked me last night when Christmas was. :he I said today is the 15th so Christmas Eve is in 9 days. He is so over worked and confused.

I think I might have to make this happen on my own.

ehhh all is good. I just have a lot on my plate as usual. I don't think it's anything I can't handle. Just a bit daunting.

I just made a list in Excel. I went room by room and listed all of the things I think we should do. Packing up extras, repairs etc..

It's doable.

When the kids are home for vacation I should be able to get lots done. No running around on errands and pick ups.

The hard part is living without access to my stuff. Not sure if I should pack in tubs so I can get into them if necessary. Or if boxes will be good.

Then what do I do with it all???

I need to find a shipping container.

Hummmm

when i moved i found a GREAT book about how to "stage" your house including paint colors, step by step, and what works. now i cant find nor remember it.. but look around at the library. i'm sure you'll find something

:)

as for shipping containers... those PODS are great. they deliver it, you pack it up, they come and get it. you can have it stored until you want it shipped to your final destination. that way you can pack up the stuff you dont use but dont want to dump and its out of the house.

get FREE boxes at the liquor store. they are the right size to carry and are heavy duty...or apple boxes from the grocery (do not get egg boxes or banana boxes tho - they dont work).

just break the steps down into manageable chunks - you'll be just fine, baby

Thanks OFG. I priced the pods already. :sick It was a lot. The quote for a 5 + bedroom with no storage time from Ca to Mo was 6500 bucks. That does not include dh wood shop. Picture every power tool known to man and all accessories necessary. Then there's the off road toys, not to mention my 600 canning jars and all the rest of the garage. :hide Maybe two shipping containers?

If we buy a shipping container and have a guy come get it it will probably cost at least 5 but the container will be ours afterwards.

House staging is what I said I wanted to do in the beginning. But now I don't think I will have cash available for that. I mean come on how do you make 2 acres of winter weeds look nice???

I don't know it's all a bunch of if's anyways.

I hate being in limbo.

I think I saw some ads for MO Homesteads in Countryside. Would you like me to post them?

No that's ok.. I have countryside as well. We are looking for a specific area near my DH Aunt. We have seen the area and know about what we are looking for. Just a huge commitment to make.

thanks again,

Could you buy an enclosed car hauler, put your stuff in it, tow it to the new home and then sell it afterwards? That's what my papa and granny did and he was able to find a HUGE one for like less than 3k.
