slow down woman!

yea I hate errands and traveling too much to ruin the day. If you leave nothing gets done at the house :D

I was supposed to head to moms today to goof off, but I begged off. Too much little junk to do...so I did 90% of it....just got Nicole's bathroom to clean...UGH and done! :)

sit down, have a bacon martini and put up those feet!

Naa.. I still nee to water the garden. I picked some peppers and cuc's for my relish. I am on my 3rd batch of tom sauce. I managed two more loads of wash. Nothing folded yet. It's all in a huge pile on my bed. :hide I normally fold in the afternoon while the kids are doing homework etc..

Good to hear your on top of things. You would think with all 3 of my kids in school full time now I would be on top of this place. Not so. At least not yet. Getting closer though.

Have a good day.

Well I have been canning like a mad woman trying to keep up. Today I managed a few quarts of free pears and 6 pints of zucchini relish.

Which leads to the next project. :D

As some of you may remember last year, or was it early this year. Anyways I decided to clean out an area under my garage stairs. Dh and I decided to build some shelves to store my canning. Which every year seems to be expanding. This year seems to be no different.

When the shelves under my stairs were filled I had started stacking the new jars on open metal shelving in the garage area near this cupboard. Then I was concerned with the light and heat fluctuation because of the garage door staying open and such.

So to make a long story short. I know to late. :p I moved my buckets to the garage area and started building more shelves in the cupboard. It makes for a tight squeeze but I figure the jars will be in such a better situation it's worth it.

So here's the cabinet side I did last year. Almost all of the canning is from this year.

And here are the new shelves. The osb was in my attic from when we built our house 10 years ago. So no money spent in materials. Their not perfect but will hold plenty more jars.

Here's an over all of the cupboard.

If feels good to see the shelves filling up.

Looks great Gina! You must just love going down there to see it all lining up like that, I know I can't stop looking at all my full jars on the shelves either :)

Oh, wow. How lovely! The shelves and the food, and everything!! I covet storage space. For a big house, this place just doesn't have any place to store ANYTHING! I have big time shelving envy :bow
