I wish I could have visited you FF. But the furthest east we went was Mansfield. Maybe next year you can visit me on my new farm. Wishful thinking right?? One can dream.

 I wish you could have stopped by too! You were east enough just not NEARLY north enough.

Wow, where does the time go? Let's see. Since my wonderful trip to Mo. and the fateful Trip to London where I lost my passport. :he Just kidding. Lot's has been going on. But I got to tell you it sure did feel like a total invasion of my privacy. All of my e mail addresses on my computer were hacked and fished out. If I am using those terms correctly. Then my FB contacts all disappeared. So when I tried to e mail friends and family and send a message on FB telling that is was a scam and not me. Nothing went out. So with the help of some friends and family I managed to send word I was ok. So now my regular lap top got wiped clean. My Brother is a guru and said there was no virus but my dh insisted it was time. It is a dual core speedy thing and it is lagging so the time was here. So now I am working on this tiny satellite computer left over from dh old office. The dang key board is so small typing is a major chore. But I will manage. I do think though that the hack came through FB, so be careful.

I really have so much to tell about our trip and visit to the Springfield area. I don't know where to start. I have great pictures of my kids bottle feeding baby goats and learning to milk Aunties cow. It was great fun. I am doing my best to convince my dh it is time to move and we should just get this house on the market. he is not seeing it the same way. I think I need to let him work the new job a bit longer so we can analyze the financials. He has been driving about 1 1/2 hours to work in the morning. When he has a job walk he could go even further. I think tomorrow they are sending him to Big Bear, this is about 3 hours from our house. They are paying him mileage though. They promised him a truck but he has not gotten it yet.

In the mean time I am still cleaning , clearing and packing extra stuff. I have not been in the garden very much. I just don't have the gumption knowing there is a chance we might not be here. I guess I should plant anyways to make the yard look better.

My peach tree is covered in fruit, it is an early bloomer and should be ready by end of June. Plum and apricot usually are good to go in July. I can't wait.

Not much else going on. I am still looking at properties on line. I have found two options, Houses with outbuildings at a reasonable price and land with barn really cheap. The latter would mean building but I kinda like the idea. My dh cousin runs Amish construction crews and I really like the simplicity of the houses they build. Dh could do the plumbing and elec. This would also enable us to put some money in the bank. If I could only convince my dh to sell the Freightliner and Trailer we would be good to go. He thinks we would use it to travel back to Ca. for visits. I think that is a very expensive way to go and kinda overkill. We could buy a smaller trailer with cash and be done with it.

There are just so many options, it gets a bit overwhelming. If we are going I would love to be settled before the fall so the kids could start school. I think I am in the "If were doing it lets get it over with" mode. Hes in the "still fighting to stay mode".

Ok now I am rambling. It has been nice catching up around here. It seems like everyone is goat crazy. Lot's of new people too. good to see them all.

Oh, did you read the new Countryside with all the cow info? great stuff.

have a great day.

I really wish you all could get closer to me in mighty Missouri. I think you all would really like it here. :D

I like the idea of an Amish built home. I bet that would be one well built house! I know it is hard to be in limbo but get that garden planted anyway. You might be able to harvest at least a few tomatoes before you come move this way. ;)

Having a garden may help sell your house. Our last two houses had a "full" garden (didn't know how long it would take to sell so planted it anyway). It was the one item that the buyers really commented on at closings and asked for advice on what to do - neither ever had one!

If it makes you feel any better, one of my friends got a message from a mere aquaintance stating that he was in London and lost all his papers and needed to borrow some money! ... He got this in January. It was the same as the one I got from you (em... imposter you). I had emailed all my contacts to let them know that I got this email (supposedly from you) to warn them and that's what he told me. He thought it was odd that this person he met once would ask him for money
Takes all kids to make the work go round

Glad you had such a nice trip (except for that detour to London )
Sounds like you visited some wonderful places and had a great experience.
We are ready for peach season also. I have been thinning them for the last few days. Last year was such a poor harvest. I am drooling just thinking about peaches. I still have a few jars of peaches left. I think I'll open one tonight.

Thanks FD. When and how do you thin? Is it just to lighten the load on the branches? It's kinda like thinning carrots. I hate to do it but I know its necessary.

*sigh*

I am wearing thin on being in limbo.

I am happy for you that you at least have a property to sell, at least that gives you a leg up on something new. We are starting with nothing and my DH wants everything.

So frustrating!
