That's cool thanks. My brother had a Web Cam for a while. He lives outside of Boston, with a lake across the street. The only thing I would ever saw was the dark.

I always have said someone should put a camera that turns on my roof. They would be able to get really good current weather of our area. Some great sunrises and sunsets too!!

maybe someday.

Well Its been a bit since I posted in my journal. Not much going n for me. I am sticking close to home. Working on my Christmas crafts and puttering. We have had some nice cool temps and drizzle this week so it just feels right. A pot of soup on the stove, a fire in the fireplace and my crochet hook in hand. :D

So in addition to the tied knot blankets I have been crocheting up a few things. My new fav is the Sugar and Cream cotton. I have been making wash clothes, dish cloths etc... I made the mistake of bringing in a project book and my 5yo took one look and was hooked. No pun intended. She pointed out what she wanted, and I replied with my normal. "I'll try but don't count on it". So all week on the sly I have been working on her gift.

This is the project.

This is what I have managed so far. Ok so I just realized I messed up my pattern. Oh, well the pockets will cover that part. Also the orange matches much better in real life.

Well this is only my first one so I figure they will just get better from here. Also if this is to big size wise I think I will give it to dd 7yo and just make another.

Anyways, that's what I have been up to this week.

Looks terrific! Gosh, I would love to have someone to sit next to and do something fun like that!
What she said except ... Gosh I would love to have someone to sit next to and just do nothing BUT sit!

After the last week I have had a week of quiet puttering would be amazing! Keep writing about your week and I will try to live vicariously through you. ;)

That does look nice. Reminds me that I need to find a pattern so I have something to do on my long flights and waits for my NY trip.
I am sure it'll be a baby thing, since I'll be a grandma come February.

Thanks, guess puttering would not be the right word....

I just because I have that 1 1/2 between getting the dh out the door and the kids getting ready for school. I don't like to do house chores because it wakes the kids unnecessarily early. I used to watch Joyce Meyer but now we don't have tv.

So that leaves me with needle work until about 6 - . Or I can come here and read about what you all are up to. But being on the west coast I am always the first one here.

Sometimes I wish I had more going on like all of you. Right now I am a home body. I was volunteering at the elementary school but still need a TB test and they wont let me come back until its done.

Dh is never home. Works 4:30 to 6 or 7 pm. By then the kids are almost ready for bed. Wow a whole hour with Dad, Isn't that great. He also is going out of town this month. For the big GM meet and greet. Did I tell you he went and spent an enormous amount of money on "business casual" clothes.

My stupid re fi is not going to finish. I just know it. I am over their request and demands. Do they want to give me the money or not. That's all their is to it. I am done bending over backwards for them.

I have to go to the in laws next weekend for mil b day. Grrrr.... I should make her some home made toilet paper. That's how I feel abut that. :tongue

So anyways, I worked on the ties and pockets to the apron today. The ties were easy. Pockets shaped as chickens are a bit harder. I am sure if it even resembles the photo I will be fine. :p

I did go out into the garden yesterday. I have little veggies sprouts all over. The carrots, beets and lettuces all loved the drizzle we had this week. It is also supposed to warm up this weekend which should get them going. :clap

My sauerkraut crock and the turkey food crock are ready. I forgot to pick them up last Sat at the farmers market. I look forward to going this weekend.

Other than that it's house stuff as usual. Laundry, dishes, baking, cleaning. Blah, blah, blah.......

I think I need another cup of coffee

I was working when your thiningie ma bob arrived. I was just putting Jims back at him and yours just plopped there and asked to be picked up.

You know I picked the stripe green one and made it my own? :frow

Around these parts you gotta make claim to what is yours or fear that it will go else where...

DW made clear to the red one, and so we were made up, in a clear fashion.

I am thinking, make me a matching vest?

What? Can you do it?

What................ it just fits me and looks good on me is all.....

Oh I think the homemade toilet paper idea is just GRAND! :thumbsup

Just mix up the paper pulp with a few finely ground jalapeno peppers and I think you have a winner for sure!
