Sorry to hear about the homework/teacher issues. I wonder about what Abi said....can't the teacher send home a daily note? Seems that would help some.

Your seedlings look terrific! I hate this time of year when I do not have a garden :tongue

Ds has the same teacher this year as last. Last year I had a check sheet. His daily behaviors, card change(discipline system), homework etc... It went to the way side because ds was doing fabulous. Early this year he was having some hypersensitivity issues before bedtime. Over stimulation, head spins etc... I am sure it was a side effect of the meds. So we changed the medicine. For the past 3 months school has been a wreck. We need to just get dialed back in on his script. He gets very upset and knows when he is off task. But it is very hard for him. Bedtime is better. I got him a clock radio. He listens to music at bedtime. Funny thing is my Mom always put me to bed with a radio. I am not sure why I didn't think of it sooner. :he

I wonder how much vitamin D he would need?

I had a special note book for assignments and I think I used it 6 times? LOL. It's a great idea but if your kid isn't ready yet to track those things, definitely need help.

If the teacher can't, does he have any friends who could help out? I remember calling classmates constantly to get assignments.

I wanna start seeds. I need auntie up here. My lack of sequencing shows in my gardening ability :/

ETA: hahaha I wrote this at the same time you were posting... Getting back on track with what you were previously using will definitely help. To this day, I always have a notepad and pencil with me to track what I'm supposed to do. I finally learned to do it myself!!! I'm not a person who can remember what I said I would do without reminders :p

They have an assignment book this year Abi. He has done very well keeping track.

The teacher actually called on Fri after we had a conversation on Mon. She asked about his meds and how the appointment with his doc went. I never took him. :hide I put him back on a previous script and thought we would give it a go. Obviously it didn't work. She said his behavior was all over the place. It reminded her of last year and his previous issues.

I laughed it off. I told her the process was constantly evolving and we were doing our best.

I think she really cares but I get frustrated with their insinuating....

*nod nod* That she took the time to contact you sounds like a good thing. And you understand his issues and want to help him which is the most helpful part.

I really doubt I have a place to put this one, real freaky in a strange kinda way. I know when I put this here, you would understand I felt I needed to share it.

So please remove any food from your mouth, or a accident might happen like this....

I'm sure it's easy to forget how much you ARE helping when his progress isn't as visible right now ;)
