It has been raining and storming here since yesterday. We even had a tornado warning come out in our area while we were at cub scouts with our ds yesterday. It poured and thundered all night and most of this morning. I hope you elbow and shoulder feel better. You gotta love those flashlight chasers, they can be a ton of fun to play with or a nusiance. My apple trees I got last year all died within 3 months of getting them. They were watered and put in good places and thrived and grew then wilted and died. Four within a month and a half of each other and not all at the same time. The fifth actually made it nearly 6 months before it died.

Sorry bout your apple trees - these are my first ones and I am happy they are doing well.

Took some motrin earlier and then me and the boys went out and butchered 6 of the meaties. They are sitting in the sink - the birds not the boys ;) waiting to be bagged while I eat some cookies and milk :D and see what everyone it up too.

Happy Saturday! DH took off this weekend to help finish the meaties. Should have already stared but we stayed at my Mom's late last night so I'm moving SLOW this morning. Kids are grabbing lunch and then we're headed out to get to work.

Pull those meaties OUT of the freezer!

They need to rest at refrigerator temps for about 2 or 3 days before freezing or they will be tough. The resting period allows them to go through rigor mortis and become tender.

Yum! Fresh strawberries! I think ours are a couple of weeks away yet. So far we've only harvested a few radishes and been eating spring lettuces. Cute pictures! It's always fun to see what other people have going on.

How many rabbits do you have?

It is fun seeing what others are up to - I get all kinds of ideas from here
Just the 2 does. The black one was in with a buck for 3 days when I bought her so hopefully I'll have babbies from her mother's day week.
