3 are really big and the other is small by comparison, you most likely do have 3 drakes and a hen. Pick the most handsome, well behaved drake and cook up the other 2 :D

WZ - that's what I'm thinking though this lady probably wouldn't have let me have them if I had told her that.

Here are my new ducks :D

Too bad you aren't in Ohio. There is an ad on CL in the Columbus area offering a registered Alpine goat for free. She is injured and needs to be cared for but it doesn't sound like something that would cost a fortune. Just some time.

Turkey's in the oven - stuffed with home made stuffing, deviled eggs from my own birds in the fridge, peanut butter pecan pie, sweet potato casserole and in an hour or so I'll start some rolls. My family is gathering at my house today. Listening to the early morning sounds of the world waking up and very thankful for all the blessings in my life.

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody !

Thanksgiving was nice, even if half the adults were sick. We still have left overs to finish.

I haven't had a chance to post this . . . I found some baby goats!! They will have to be bottle fed, but they were $45. I had to drive an hour - I drive that long in the opposite direction to go to work everyday - The folks make their living off their farm: goats, eggs, turkeys (she had one of the most beautiful toms I have ever seen), and produce. Man I wish she was my neighbor. She has Alpine, Saneen, and Nubian. I planned to get 2 - boy & girl . . . well I'm getting 5. I picked 4 and she is giving me another buck because she has a hard time selling them.

I am going to get them the weekend of the 12th, the black one (Onyx) will be 5 weeks old and the others will be 4 weeks old. Here are the pics I took last Sunday when I picked them out:
Onyx (black doe) and Cowboy (Alpine buck) playing on DS13

this is the one I fell in love with, she was still only on Mom and I couldn't get a good pic of her, but she is gorgeous

and because I love to share the things my boys get into . . .

this is a little ride on toy that they tied to the swingset

DS6 and my brother's DD5 & DD6 were playing in our woods and we heard them having the best time so Mom and I snuck out to where they were. They had a fallen tree limb/small tree wedged in the fork of another tree and were seesawing on their "treesaw"

I just happened to snap this as the limb broke and my niece fell

I love country children's imaginations

edited because my brother's DSs are really DDs ;) oops!

Great pics of the kids. I love the creativity. The goats look cute. You know it will be hard to bottle feed them, if they are on mom for that long. Be prepared with vitamin supplements, especially vit B. THat's what I had a problem with. I ended up having to take my baby goats to the vet  Something I could easily have prevented, if I had known to make sure to give them extra vitamins.
