ya know I gave away so much produce over the last 15 years I could feed a small country....hahaha

but ya know, I realized every time I offered others free stuff, THEY TRIED to give me back free stuff---same darn tomatoe hahaha

I think I am taking the easy road this year

boy I am getting lazy. stop the hardwork and boy, you see things from the lazy side hahaha (I kinda like it )

ya know K it is one of the best things you can do.
support a small farm etc. in your area and just buy their fresh local produce. good way to go!

time restraints are sooooo hard. I hear ya there.


I remember the camel that broke our backs. We were doing well, tons of farm work and great income and I suggested another way to make money for the farm biz and my mind snapped......yup, I thought, how in the world can I DO MORE---I could not. Then I flipped right over to, I HAVE TO DO LESS!

We are hard workers but at what point do you truly say STOP--enough is enough. I did...hahaha...and I love it lol

Fabuous Friday

nice day today with tons of sunshine
grass growing thru the roof in the pastures now...heck I barely fed hay this winter I had so much grass. While I love to see the grass take off, I hate the mow part of it lol Tony mowed the yard to trim it up....and the smell was wonderful. Really makes me think of summer!


Nicole had a blast all week swimming and learning lessons at the YMCA. Man she has a great shcool. Today is snow cone day at school. don't take much to thrill a kid haha

I am going at 11:30 to the YMCA for the parents to what the kids swim and show what they learned. She is thrilled. She has been jumping off the couch, taking deep breaths, and showing me her jumps LOL ah, the energy I love it!


She got 'best effort child' again and her reward is a movie, Tangled and lunch at a restaurant. Their class has such fun at shool. I sure didn't get all this great stuff at school when a kid LOL She has a busier social life than me now HA HA




usual junk today. Gotta hit the feed store and buy a few bags of goat feed to get me thru the summer. I just feed a handful to get them in the other pasture at night. Darn wild dogs are still on the loose.....I don't feed in summer, my pastures are huge, just some supps. But with having to put them up in that secure pasture I have to buy feed. I hate it LOL


Mom turned 83. Having little party on Sunday. Gotta hit CVS and get a big box of Russel Stover candy...no nuts. LOL that is all she wants, heck she has it all...and perfect health too. Can't go wrong at that age feeling good right? Will stop for small cake at grocery before heading to her house Sunday. Nicole says everyone must have candles!



off to get a few things done...I get the feeling this day is gonna move very fast today. huh

Nice weather today---that is always welcome!


Tony off to gun show with his buddy in a few. Not in the mood to walk around and check out guns.

Then later today his buddy and him are taking the kids (buddy has same age son) to a 'discovery/museum' place to run around. Apparently it has indoor fire truck, airplane, etc. for kids to explore....you know, one of those 'hands on' science type places.


So I have a free day happening here for a bit. Gotta love that!


Cleaning back porch today....going to spray off the decks and just spruce everything up. Get it organized and nice for using when the warm weather hits. Won't take much work, but I love a wide open, clean porch to throw out my recliner and sun tan...and yup sun tan time is coming wa hoo


Stupid doggy is getting thru my fencing around the yard. I thought he might grow big enough NOT to fit thru the panels, but I am not sure. I can't open the back door, throw his butt outside and expect him to stay there. That drives me nuts big time. Most times he is out with the goats or end up at the neighbors house barking at her 2 little dogs outside. Ugh.....so off to Lowe's today to get some small fencing rolls to run up along my pasture fence. 2 sides...other 2 sides is small wire on split rail..he can't get thru that.....but the other 2 sides is horse pasture fencing. won't be bad but heck another darn job I have to do. I was trying to unload jobs, not gain them...lol


off to start a great day here! everyone smile...it isn't that bad!

Little dogs have the most attitude! My 20 lb. dog is harder to train than my 90 lb. dog. I do not want another small dog, this one makes me pull my hair out! I wish I could bottle up some of the kids "energy", it would be crack for adults! Enjoy your warm weather and porch!
