seems like a hot and sunny day...I like that

Tony is progressing wonderful on the pool area. he paved off a big sand box area for Nicole, is making me an area for pool supplies/toys and stuff to store and it all is coming along nice. such a hard worker

not much today. make 2-3 soap batches, have to hit fed ex to send my computer to my brother, (which I should have done weeks ago...ugh), laundry and vacuum...other than that, life is going to be easy. yup, no hard work for me today.

We swam in the pool yesterday....he got into the 90s

water was brisk to say the least LOL but had a blast. glad I got the bigger pool now. size does matter --we had the music blaring, the floats a'floatin' and we had a great time!

Nicole will have a blast thru summer and the kids are lining up for invites.


So Tony and I chatted and we are going to have a July 4th party here at the house.....what....we never do that...LOL......but with the new pool, no stupid farm to deal with, a life more of ease, I am going to enjoy myself. (And with my new couponing, I do believe this party food will be practically free lol) Not alot of people cause we truly don't have tons of friends, just medium sized and it is all about the kids, swimming and beer and BBQ---LOL
So starting to plan that in a while.


Tony mowed the world for me....all around barns where it was 'getting snaky' to me and under gates so they open easier etc. Who'd think some grass could darn near kill ya, lol, but we have so much to handle on mowing it is insanity.


We are late getting our 5 acres of hay on the ground. Tony checking for 4-5 straight days of sun in the forecast and gonna cut ASAP. most people have their first fields baled aready. Barb got about 200 acres finished baled.

getting busy now....usual summer upkeep with everything which is fine but some days annoying.

I am sooooooo happy I am not doing any gardening or crop fields this year (except hay)----heck my Dad's turnips and greens are doing great and I already got a load off his small garden. Can't wait for his maters to ripen lol (ahhh, just so nice to not have to deal with a garden, but get fresh stuff...but seems weird I am not in the dirt...oh well, will get used to easier living easily haha

edited to say I scanned my weekly specials for my 2 stores and other than Hellmans Mayo, nothing I use is on sale LOL. well some chips I will get for this party coming but no other products I use. So mayo and chips seem to be my small haul this week lol

well Food Lion had some great sales on things I use.

not great savings but this way I have them in the pantry and won't be needing to shop again for that crap anytime soon

not buying alot at all from them but they have Pantene shampoo/conditioner still on sale price, then $3 off with e-vic card, then I have another $3.00 off coupon...yup...Pantene for .75 per bottle. OMG! OMG! I love it and I have 3 coupons....so oh, yea my butt swimming in Pantene LOL


swam today the minute Nicole got home. ugh, tired. I bought those foam water guns....we blasted each other til we couldn't blast no more lol


off I go....just plain old tired in a good way

busy day

I hit the grocery store at 7 am lol
not a great haul...did good but not stellar...cost $150, paid $70, saved $80----but I had coupon failure. must have been tired last night when I put my list together....save $1. on 2 2 2 not one, lol so when I bought 4 items I could only use 2 coupons which cut down my savings UGH.....I didn't plan this trip good....while I saved great, I wanted better LOL oh well live and learn
AND at checkout I had the wrong brand coupon for what was on sale, so I took the sale item anyway but didn't get my coupon used --too tired to say take it off the bill LOL

I hate wheat pasta. tried it a few times and thought I could get used to it but nope, I like the nasty old crappy white pasta (which we rarely eat anyway lol)-----but I had coupons for wheat pasta and I bought the regular pasta and YUP the coupons went thru and I saved...so never hurts to try lol

got 6 boxes of elbow pasta for .10 each....hmm...can't go wrong there lol---those 6 should last 8 months at least

gotta clean up the side yard with crap to hit the dump and I have to haul Nicoles plastic giant playhouse to MILs so she can yard sale sell. Paid $300 for that thing, lucky to get $25 LOL but it is fine, kid is out of baby stage and I am out of first time baby mom stage in buying crap LOL so all good there.


pool is fab. can't say how happy we are with it and will be used like crazy in summer. we are pool people so I have to say I am thrilled with all the new happening in the yard.


Tony and I have to drive up to Hickory in a bit....he wants to get some type of landscape stuff he saw for the yard up there and it is the only place to get the pavers, so off we go for a damn long car ride lol not in a car/travel/shop mood anymore....kinda want to stay home and veg, but off we go.........so everyone have a great day and enjoy!
