Spanx = high caliber, extra strong girdle, lol!

I'm gonna need to wear two of 'em pretty soon - gonna outgrow all my clothes if I keep cooking for folks. Thanksgiving stuff on Thursday. Chicken and dumplings on Friday for my DS. Chili today for Step-son, nephew and their assorted children! I'll be giving the farm tour shortly! I looove bringing little children out to the farm - they are all wide-eyed and enchanted by all the critters... so much fun.

You hang in there girlfriend. I'm thinking home-baked good would go over pretty well this time of year. :drool :fl

Meh, the white bread was a flop. The banana bread did pretty well though, and I sold out of jams :D not bad for a sample run. Now I just need to find the time to replenish the supply of jams. I'm baking again tonight. While we did good on that stuff, we didn't make enough money today. Lots of folks out and about, just tight fisting their money right now in anticipation of Christmas. maybe it'll pick up and do okay tomorrow. I hate working Sunday but......well I won't even say it..

Did about the same today, so yeah monthly checks may have something to do with it. I hadn't really thought about it. I did ok today, not as good as usual, but not bad. I have some ideas for some new products, but I didn't make enough this week to get supplies. I need a financier  Maybe I can pull it off in a few more weekends. I hope I can build up a bit of cash to put back by the end of next weekend to get a little more stuff out. People are really interested in the jams and homemade items. I sold several of the jams today again. I'll spend the week making more.....if I can find enough jars without having to buy more. I'd like to make 3-4 batches of different flavors. I'm tempted to get into the bill money and just do it, but as sure as I do, we won't sell enough to put it back and I'll be more behind. I'm pretty willing to take that risk usually, but.....not the way my luck has been running lately :p I do have the chicks hatching this week too, and should get a bit for that once they are all out and I can get them to their owner, but I'm not sure when that is gonna happen this week. They are due to hatch tomorrow, but I will leave the eggs in a few extra days to make sure they finish up, so maybe by Thursday I will be able to deliver those and maybe get a few things for the market ideas. I guess we'll see :)

Meanwhile...I am SUCH a sucker. You know how folks have boxes of cute things walking around trying to give them to unsuspecting passers by.....cute whiney little things, that require food and time and attention and money and.......yeah I got a pup. If not for the little boy that runs to meet me EVERY day I go to the market, I probably would have had the will power to pass. But, he calls me "Michie girl", and I'm his best friend, and his momma is in jail, and he has just taken up with me. I mean what 5 year old boy takes up with a woman at a flea market to the point he KNOWS when I move to another table, will come sit with me and talk to me for hours on end, always has me a hug in his pocket, and is just the sweetest kid EVER :th That cuteness, plus puppy cuteness...just did me in. Yah, I know better. But, did it matter? Nu uh. That kid could have sold me an ice cube to hold in my freezing cold hands and i would have gladly paid him my last dollar for it  Double sucker. He wanted to make sure they went to good homes, and he was upset they all had to leave, but he wanted me to have one of his puppies so he could see him again sometime. Oh for the love of God, just give me one already!! Ya know?

I met this little boy the first week there. He came up to my table upset. He was there earlier with his grandpa and had talked up a storm to me. Well, he lost his grandpa in the crowd that was there that day, and so he came back to my table...tears in his little bright blue eyes, and whimpered "Can you help me find my papaw?" so off we went. We found Papaw and brother, and he hugged me, and said thank you! He comes to find me EVERY weekend now, regardless of whether his Papaw comes or not. His grandpa came to my table several weeks back to get him and was laughing, told me he had said he would be back in a minute, he was going to see "Michie girl" and took off

At least the pup seems even tempered and is relatively calm. *sigh*

Oh my goodness - a PUP! But, ya know - sometimes a pup will cure what ails ya, lol! I love me some puppies - but haven't had one since raising the LGD. She's finally turned into the bestest dog ever - and does her job very well. We had lots of company yesterday and when we all walked out to the pasture she came and said hello to every one - made really nice with the kiddos, suffered through hugs and sticky fingers and then went right back and laid down with the goats. She done me proud.

The double-egg was so cool - wish I'd gotten a picture of it.

Pinky, you know Kita ran away from it, growling  Chilli dog...was like a cracked out wildebeast for 3 hours. She HAD TO BE right up on him, over him, under him, stampeding to his side with every whimper or whine and of course sniffing his butt each time just to make sure he hadn't morphed into another dog before her eyes...ya know...cuz it does happen from time to time.... I should have took a pic of her, wide eyed, crazy looking....her Jack Nicholson in The Shining kind of gleam in her eye. It was a bit entertaining :D

I'll get pics up as soon as I can find my camera. His name is Mojo AKA Mojo Jojo from Power Puff girls...the crazy genius monkey that wants to take over the world. It suits him :p
