Yeah...I'm looking forward to be stuck in the house......NOT! :p I hope it goes further North to those folks who are more accustomed to such crazy cold weather. It was 70 here today...and may have to break out the coveralls tomorrow :/

Well...POOPsicles :rant It's raining now, and temp is dropping a bit.....aaaaaaaaaaaand *drumroll* I have a goat apparently in labor WAHOOOO NOOOOOOOOTTTTTTT!!!!!!!! Not to mention this SCREAMING chick...there's always one in the bunch that has to stir up crap :/ I asked for it, I really did. I said I don't care anymore. And I still don't, but not caring is getting on my nerves now. Stupid farm, stupid weather, stupid ear piercing screaming baby chicken nugget!!!! Stupid day!!!

I need to go cook. Why? Oh I dunno, maybe because that's our ONLY income right now, and I have to. NOT that we'll be able to set up and sell anything IN ICY WEATHER.....but...whatever. I will have a ton of stuff for another week. Right? Meanwhile if that bank calls one. more. time. to "remind me" that I haven't yet made a house payment this month, and I am overdue.....they're gonna get a piece of my mind and I don't suspect it'll be pretty considering I am not intent on holding back. Just my luck we have a mortgage company who "also acts as a debt collection agency" and calls every. frackin. day. Seriously? Unfortunately true. When the heck did THAT become a good idea?!?!? 5 days past the due date, WELL BEFORE THE END OF THE GRACE PERIOD, and they wanna act a fool.....well when they call again they can just sit back and take notes on actin a fool. I can do it better than they can :tongue

I'm actually in a great mood y'all....don't go calling no people with those funny coats that tie in the back just yet. I'll let ya know before that's necessary. I'm still makin sense right now :p

OI, they really called!!! It's almost unbelievable. I wondered aloud how many mortgages they service to give SUCH PERSONAL WONDERFUL SERVICE ....the very second the bill is late. Wondered aloud why I never hear from them unless they need something...where are they when I need them? I'll tell ya where THEY are, right smack between me and 50 buttons to push all with fake voices saying the same things over and over and over again...and for the 13th time NO I DO NOT WISH TO CONTINUE EN ESPANOL!!!!! This relationship is so one sided I think we need to break it off and quit pretending like you really care I said.... I almost asked if I could put them on hold for a second while I checked their account and then got a sandwich, ate said sandwich, cleaned the bathroom, trimmed my toenails, and washed my hair!!!!! Mortgagewhores...that's what those people that call are...I feel sorry for them, but not sorry enough to not dish obnoxiousness right back at them. Oh, and this call may be monitored or recorded for training purposes....one can only hope :p Mind you, they call every day....which is exceedingly helpful to burn the crap out of my phone minutes so I have to buy a new card BEFORE I PAY THE MORTGAGE. I told them yesterday, and the day before. I don't know when you will get your money. I guess it may correlate to when I get some money, and seeing as how I have no money.... go ahead, take your best guess

This is the absolute best thing about being in this situation...snotty little debt collectors. The conversations we have....it's always a pleasure :D ;)

No baby(ies) yet. She's still laying around not eating right now, acting all pitiful. I hope if she's gonna have it she doesn't wait till tonight! It's supposed to get down to 24. If the power goes out, we'll have no way of helping her keep them warm short of building a fire in her stall :p She has a layer of bedding under her layer of hay though, and protection from the wind, so hopefully she/they will be alright.

baby oats are pretty hardy and once there dry not as cold sensitive as most folks seem to think.
at worst baby comes into the house and onto a bottle, but if you've got a dog sweater or blanket or even a piece of fleece you can finagle into a form of sweater, deep bedding and a draft free spot and they'll be fine!

Don't they always pick the worst times to kid??? I once had about 8 goats all giving birth at the same time in a FLOOD! I had make shift kidding pens everywhere and a couple does were in standing water - squatting to deliver babies...OMG - it was a NIGHTMARE! But, all turned out well and hopefully your kidding adventure will too!

Pics!
