Pup screamed allllll night in his crate. He hates the crate. He wants to be held while he sleeps. Me thinks I know a short cute person who might have spoiled him a little bit  He'll get it all worked out soon though.

Looks like this weekend may not happen at the market....they're calling for ice and snow. *sigh* I guess it will give me time to get some things done here, to get fully prepared for it next time though. But, so much for getting things ready and getting to my break even point on time. Always something.

I'll be canning peach jam tomorrow. Thankfully I already had the stuff for that anyway. And I have enough for another batch of blueberry, and a batch or maybe two of strawberry. I'll be washing jars and getting that ready tomorrow. Then I get to work on my other ideas for a bit so I can test run them when we go back to the market.

Oh yeah.... new pups are soooo much fun, lol!

Peach jam sounds soooo good and reminds me that I've got a freezer full of figs I need to turn into preserves. Supposed to be nasty here this weekend too so maybe I'll get that done.

Same w/kids. Of course, then when either is quiet, you start to worry about what they're into.

Definitely worry when they are quiet! He has been much better today :) I still can't believe i let that little boy sucker me in like that  Bless his heart, he is too cute and sweet!!

Took DD to the doctor today, made up a few mixes, tested by my lovely bunch of taste testers here, and I FINALLY have a turkey in the oven!! :drool :weee The price went down to much more reasonable so a snagged a 12 pounder and I CAN'T WAIT for my Thanksgiving meal!!!!!! It should be ready just in time for dinner tonight.

I picked up a few much needed grocery items while out. Sticker shock...but I have to have the stuff, part of it to make mixes, and part of it just because we were out of so much stuff....dunno how that slipped up on me. I haven't done grocery shopping in almost a month though so...

I missed my soap making lesson with my Amish friend :( We have been so busy the last couple days, I just could not get the schedule cleared for it. Maybe another time. I have another friend who will be making some soon, maybe i can sit in on that and learn.

I have a million labels to be making for this stuff for market this week. I completely forgot about the kids appointment today and it took forever. We got there at 9:30 and didn't get out till 1:30 ish. I just came home and cooked lunch, ate, and started making mixes. I was supposed to be making jam...um...kinda got thrown off again though, possibly tomorrow? Guess we will see.

Oh, and the guy came and got 63 chicks this morning, and paid. NOT what I was expecting....he said I gave him that price, but I couldn't remember. I KNOW I would never hatch for folks that cheap though. It barely covers the electricity to run the incubator. So, I will finish up the next 3 hatches, at that price, that he SAYS we agreed on, and then that's it. It's more trouble than it's worth by a long shot for no more than that. It sucks, I enjoy having an incubator full of babies, but it's a hassle. By the time you set, candle, lock down, and clean out the hatch, then clean out the incubator, not to mention monitor daily humidity and temps.....I'm getting robbed. I'm sorry, I like to help folks, but I can't stand to think about how much money he is making off of these birds in comparison to what I'm making to hatch them. I realize, he has to feed and take care of the birds, and deliver the eggs, and pick up the chicks and such, but.....hatching is a lot of work involved too, and incubators don't run for free. My time is worth something. It just left me feeling used. :/ He is a friend, and so I'd like to keep it that way by NOT working with him anymore :p Bad experience...

16 pints of peach jam, two loaves of bread, and 2 dozen white chocolate dipped peppermint crusted pretzels. And dinner...and puppy training! It has been a productive day. :D Now, if the money will just fllllllooooooow this weekend I will be a happy camper!!! We had to go get a few things today to prepare for this lovely storm. The pull cord broke on the generator, we had no fuel for it, the propane tank had to be filled, no fuel in the vehicles...and ...well a few things turned into a few hundred bucks we didn't have. THEN the darn mortgage company called....that is so annoying. We're THREE days late...big frickin deal!! :rant :smack Anyway... I got a few more chicks out of that hatch too today, tossed the rest and cleaned up the bator in preparation for the next hatch to be set down in a couple days. I had set another batch yesterday, so three more hatches to go and I'm done! I'm tired. Pup is still keeping us up a bit.

Dang Sis - you been busy! Those pretzels sound soooo good! And some peach jam on a freshly baked piece of bread? Dang - I will not be dieting tonight, lol!

Hope ya'll don't get hit too hard with the winter storm - we're sposed to get some of it but not to the extent that the rest of the country will.
