Recipe Time!!

Vegetable Soup

2 Cups of Cabbage (chopped in big pieces)
1 Cup of Onions (chopped in medium sized pieces)
1 Cup of Carrots (Chopped in medium size pieces)
1 Cup of Peas (Canned or frozen, doesnt matter)
1 Cup of Corn (canned or frozen, doesnt matter)
2 Cups of Potatoes (chopped)
1 Quart of Tomatoes or 1 Quart of Juice (you can do half and half)
1 Stick of Butter
1 TBSP of Salt
1 TSP of Cayenne Pepper Powder (optional)
1 TBSP of Sugar
X amount of meat can be added. She has put everything from leftover pork chops to dried cornbeef.

Mix all ingredients, bring to a boil. Then simmer on medium heat for 30 to 45 minutes.

Its finger lickin good!

Chili (I know you didnt ask but no recipe collection is complete without this)
1 Lb. of Ground Beef
1 Medium Onion (Chopped)
1 Package of McCormick Chili Mix (It may be 2 packages I will have to check)
1 Cup of Hunt's Tomato Sauce
1 Cup of Hunt's Tomato Paste
1 TBSP of Sugar

Brown beef and onion together until they are done, put aside to cool. Mix the tomato sauce, tomato paste, chili seasoning, and sugar together. Microwave for about 5 minutes. Then you're ready to eat.

I have the fudge recipe but she wrote that one in messy cursive and I cant read it but I will get it translated.

My kids have lost their everloving minds! 6 year old niece and 13 year old DD have decided to change roles  "Hannah" just stomped in here mad because "Riley" wouldn't give her the scarf she sooooo demands to play with, and "Riley" is complaining that "Hannah" always gets everything she wants by coming to me....so now I have somehow got looped into the circus that is their over active imaginations. I can't help but laugh, they're both flat out idiotic to each other at times with a seven year age difference...and at least for now they are getting along. This is worse than a SNL skit gone bad

Here is the Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe!

Ingredients
3 Cups of White Granulated Sugar (You can also substitute one white sugar for brown sugar)
1 Cup of Milk
1 Stick of Butter
1/2 TSP of Salt
1 TSP of Vanilla
3 to 6 TBSP of Peanut Butter (She said to use your judgment on the PB)

Put sugar, milk, butter and salt into pan; cool over medium heat until soft ball forms in cold water. Remove from heat; add vanilla. Add peanut butter. Beat mixture on medium speed until fudge starts to harden. Pour into a buttered pan; and let cool.

There ya go Cindi!!
