The better half said we're buying plants this year. Multiple years of the weather screwing me up was enough for now.

Ya know you might outta keep her around ;) She's pretty smart...with all the volunteer work you're doing that would take a LOAD off of you, and a lot of pressure trying to get the garden in.

I was getting dizzy reading this! Y'all are nuts. Speaking of nuts (grape nuts), you ever eat a pine cone, some parts are edible!! I know it was a stretch! I am JUST old enough to know who Euell Gibbon was. Oh! And the Monkees!! I am a desert "daydream believer"

I used to eat part of the pine cone, but they got too expensive. (Pine nuts, they're the seeds from a pinon pine) Seeds in the pines around here are just too small.

Eull Gibbons? He was still alive and eating cattails when I was a yungin'. I guess all that fiber, didn't help him live forever...afterall. Speaking of cattails...I need some cattails...to plant in my back ditch.

Oh ya'll just don't understand our insanity ;) We liven the place up, it's been boring around here lately. Last night was fun...like it used to be on here :)

Cheerio..pine nuts? I leave those for the birds :p We live in the midst of a pine grove. Paper mill land, so I guess if I wanted I could eat a lot of those...but I think I'll stick to the pecan trees on the back side of Uncle E's property instead :drool
