I use to have that egg problem. Way to many. After the fox cleaned out my silkies and then a month later decided my laying hens were fair game as well and took all but 6. Then my neighbors cat decided that 2 of those hens looked like fun play things I am now down to my 9 corish bantum hens and 4 full size mutt hens. I get between 6 and 8 eggs a day. That seems to be working out well for me as I don't and never have had any regular egg customers. My feed bill is way lower. I was thinking about ordering more chickens but think I have decided to just stick with what I have for right now.

Well I took DD to school this morning 20 miles away and set up the bator for their class.

Then I went and did my little bit of grocery shopping that took about an hour.

THEN my day REALLY got started....I have:

made 2 strombolis
dried 4 pounds of bananas
made 6 pizza pockets
made two loaves of bread
made 20 blueberry waffles to freeze
and fed animals, gathered eggs, swept and straightened up, entertained company for an hour, and NOW for the first time since 6 am I'm sittin on my tush!!

I'm a little tired. DD better not have a bunch of homework so I have to do dishes or help with dishes again tonight :/ I did last night, but I won't tonight. I worked my tail off yesterday and was tired, and tomorrow I have an appointment to sell some birds, and that is ALL I'm doing......probably :p I can't wait till the sabbath :th

It's snowing here too. My driveway has disappeared and DH was just out about an hour ago! Up here, this is normal weather, but me and the animals were sure enjoying watching the snow melt away!

I was told to take D3, Vit. C, Lysine, and Olive leaf extract for my clingy sickness. So far, it isn't gone, but I'm at least functional again :)

Do you mix multiple batches for all your stuff? My mixer can only mix for one pullman pan of bread at a time. I WANT to make a variety of things, but hate the mix-rinse-repeat process, so I only do one thing. Besides, I think, if I baked a bunch of things at once, to get ahead, my guys would get the idea that it was an everyday thing and eat themselves sick

I try to make multiple batches of everything so I can knock out a week or so worth of work in one day. I made up about a gallon of blueberry waffle mix and froze them, then I made enough pizza pockets and stromboli for a week, also to be frozen, and enough bread for a week.

I do all of my doughs in the bread machine while I do other things in the kitchen at the same time. This morning I was doing waffles while the bread dough was going, shredding cheese for the stromboli, making sauce, and talking to my neighbor on the phone who was telling me I was going to mess everything up if I didn't slow down  I make one thing while prepping for other things, so it's not like I wait for one to get done, then do another. In order to get it all done, I have to do it all at once. It times out pretty well. I can shred a nice block of cheese while a couple of waffles cook :D

I put my bread machine through a lot of abuse. I do 4 WW pizza crusts at a time, and can do 4 loaves at a time. I do not use my machine for the final rise, just the mixing, or you can't do that much. If it is allowed to rise in there it will overflow the little pan, but I take it out at the last kneeading, seperate, and make my loaves. Then I let it rise in a preheated(on 170 degrees) oven for about 20-30 minutes, then bake. That way I can get a lot more done, and I'm not making bread every time I turn around.

I got TWENTY ONE eggs today :ep I really gotta cut back some chickens

You just pull into the back at the animal secton, and sell. An old guy(the land owner) comes around, sometimes around 11 ish, to collect for the spot. I think it's $3 or something. I usually sell ahead of time and just deliver there to the folks. There is no sign up to do or anything, just go sell. I leave my money with other vendors if I get finished before the guy comes out.
