Yeah you probably need to wait for July there. It's warm already here, so I am getting started I can't seem to kill mine anyway..and yeah we have actually TRIED a few times and gave up and started selling them. Even when i think I have a bed cleaned out completely...more come back the next year from broken off roots.hqueen13 said:Well, they did start eating the azaleas when they were desperate during the winter when we had triple massive snow storms. I think I'll try to start cultivating the irises to spread them around, they're pretty enough and if the deer don't like them AND the trees can't grow through them then it sounds good to me!
