I hate asparagus...dunno how everyone eats it :sick
My husband always said he hated it too... but... he had only been exposed to the limp, slimy, olive drab, canned stuff, his grandmother served.

Once he tasted it raw or lightly steamed, it is now one of his favorite "green" things.

OK, now everyone let's sing the theme song from Veggie Tales!

If you like to talk to tomatoes, if a squash can make you smile.
If you like to waltz w/potatoes, up and down the produce aisle.....:hide

im on the fence with asparagus, i do like it raw with garlic hummus, but ive never had it propperly "cooked" and dont like the slightly sulfur taste it takes on when not cooked properly...i plan on eventually growing a small perenial bed of it to experiement with to see if it is an "only raw" veggie (i have a few in the ill only eat it raw category lol)
and i actually prefer the purple kind, dunno if it realy is a taste thing of it its just the color attracts my attention better lol

I have had it several ways and do not see the attraction  It's just one of those things I can't stand...sorta like some folks can't hack cilantro, I love it! Asparagus though..no ty! It is funny how some foods taste so much different to other folks. at least asparagus doesn't taste like soap to me anyway

I got the neighbors flower bed done. 3 hyacinths, 5 tulips, 40 irises, and 5 daffodils. That place sure is gonna be colorful in a few weeks!! I have a bloom on my stawberries too!!!! :weee :celebrate

Now I gotta go haul steel, then come back and fold a load of laundry and do another load...got sidetracked yesterday and didn't get it finished.

I may be headed to Kentucky on the 14th...still gotta call about that to verifiy whether I do or do not have to be there. but, I am excited, because the time is drawing nearer :D Haven't gotten the call that we're certified yet neither :/ Waiting......

Cilantro doesn't taste like soap. It tastes like soap mixed with stinkbug! Lol But I love asparagus. I wish I could get some plants locally. I want to try growing some. Hopefully you'll get the call saying your approved soon! :fl

Asparagus is good grilled or steamed or saute'ed with butter!

Now I am wishing I could get some of your Irises! LOL

Way to go for you on everything you've gotten done!

Hi folks! I got steel hauled off, a bit of shopping done, more tomatoes planted, more carrots planted and more potaoes, and started some stevia. I fried fish for dinner...crappie...feels funny typing out that I had a crappie dinner :p

I'm tired!
