Yep it's really nice outside today. I just bought yeast online this morning...MUCH better prices!! $20 for 4 POUNDS...where the stores have the little 4 oz. jars for $5 If you need more Pinky, lemme know. It'll be a while before i get through 4 lbs of yeast It freezes and keeps well though, even 6 months past the "sale by" date if you get it in the freezer while it's pretty fresh.pinkfox said:woot recipies. i bought flour sugar and yeast the other day at the store so yay for recipies i know i like lol...
least its quite a bit cooler today than it has been
$2 is a good price in the local stores!pinkfox said:Nice, i got the 4oz jar for $2 on sale at kroger lol, (otherwise i wouldnt have bothered, they wanted $3+ just for 3-4 little packets) but $20 is a great deal.
i think im probably going to end up doing that for the likes of my grains once the laundry room has got some shelving up for organization.
Do you just use pure vodka, WBF, or add something else? My first batch was just cheap vodka, to try it out, and it turned out great. I did mix my beans though, so I could develop a full flavor mix.Wannabefree said:Yep it's really nice outside today. I will be ordering some more vanilla beans online too in the next several weeks. I have to make some more vanilla extract.
