I see your point, BUT... In my mind, I can't get beyond...God saying Pharoah was created for Hi purpose, and God hardened his heart "that I may show these signs of Mine before him" Then there is Romans 9:21 Does not the potter have power over the same lump to make one vessel for honor, and the other for dishonor?......

Does that not say God has the power to make anything for His own purpose?

cindi i completly agree, i know many gay people, and not one of them "became" gay...they choose whther or not to act on the desire (and i have some gay completly celebate friends woth no plans to ever be with ANYONE) but they too knew as kids, they knew long before they knew WHAT it meant...
and its certinaly not what many would choose, some of those frineds lost freinds and family whe they "came out" why anyone would choose a lifestyle of hate, discrimination, and assumptions i dont know...

i belive if god created a person, that god wouldnt Implant this desire to be LOVED by someone of the same sex, unless it was part of some large plan or grand design...

infact i have one frined who found god BECAUSE hes gay.
his parents realized when he was 3 that he was "odd" he prefered to play with baby dolls than gi-joe...when given lego hed build little houses for his playmobile people while all the other boys were building racecars, hed rather have a barbie pony than an RC car...
so they tried to "train" him, they forced him to play with boy clothes, forced him into sports ect...they told him the horrors of gay people how there all sinners, going to hell, and all gay men are rapists and child molesters ect...
in highschool he was so deperessed and confused he tried to kill himself, twice. i met him just after the second time, my radar started sounding right away, i knew WHY he was so confused but i couldnt explain it to him...you cant TELL someone they are gay, especially when things have been drilled into them. so i took him to our local universal life church (a true none dnominational church popular with pagans who still like some "structure" but open to ALL Religions!

it was there they spok of true love, a god who cares about his flock, whos all around us and who sees our pain and accepts us for everythign we are. about 6 months later he got up the courage to come out to his family, they turned on him and he hasnt spoken to them since (their choice not his) BUT he has love in his life in his church, in the congregation, he has a loving god in his life who he belives accepts him as he is...he was married under the eyes of god in the ULC that he says saved his life and 2 years ago they adopted an 8 yr old bdowns syndrome child whod been placed for adoption because her parents couldnt accept "what" she was (disabled) ive never seen such a loving devoted family and just cannot accept GOD would look upon that family and condem those 2 amazing men simply because they found and enjoy eachother, especially given they are turly good people, they are active in their commnunity and churg, volunteer regularly ect...

WHY would any true just god condem THEM to hell?!

comparing it to "i love carbs so its gods fault if i eat too many and become fat becaue he made me love them" is a little...i dunno...kinda rubs me the wrong way a little lol

The love of God supercedes any other love. I do believe active homosexuals are living in sin, just like I was at several points living with men I wasn't married to, sin crosses every race, sexual orientation etc. when you go against God in any way. I do believe we have to answer for those sins, He WILL condemn us for it, no doubt, God is a just God, and we deserve hell, but to me, that's the beauty of it. As much as He will condemn us, He also loves us, even IN our sin. We just need to accept His grace and forgiveness, and be willing to change ourselves for Him. It would be INCREDIBLY difficult to be gay, and remain celebate, but if I were gay, I would be celebate, in order to be in the graces of God. I'm bad enough as I am!! Everyone has their struggles in this crazy life! Forgiveness is a beautiful thing though!!

The carb thing...I thought was a good example. Well, at least I knew what he meant anyway

i got good sleep, but i wrestled with 4 year old twins all day, and two teen girls, BOTH with A.D.D. and BOTH not responding so well to meds this week for some stupid reason I tired.
