Hey MFB Darryl never answers his phone anyway I drove a huge circle around the concert I don't like country music, but I did go to the first one just to support family. Darryl is my cousin.
moolie, DD is doing well. I got her a umm...distraction. she didn't even go out with all of us. She stayed home with her new pet. I did good on that one She hasn't been so fussy, hasn't mentioned her troubles, and has been a lot more happy the last few days. Distractions are good.
I got a lot done today. Made 2 loaves of white bread, two loaves of banana bread, two lasagnas, and a carrot cake. i got 4 loads of laundry done and put away, 3 gallons of green tomatoes quartered and frozen, and checked on my MIL. I did some more stuff, but that's the highlights. I had most of it done by the time DH got home at 10 this morning. He got rained out. I even got in a cat nap this afternoon Tomorrow is gonna be BUSY though :/ I have tons of running to do, and twice as many chores. I still have a few things to finish up today to get a jump on tomorrow, but I'm taking a break
It's a rehab project animal. Can't really 'splain any further. It will be released eventually when it is big enough and well enough and can fend for itself. DD loves those projects, but we have to be careful, not all are exactly legal We have had great success in the past with rehabbing this particular species though.
Anyway....got a ton to do today. Have to run to next county over to take care of some business, planned visit to my Amish neighbors on the way out, and more cleaning around here when I get back. I have a eye doc visit. I broke the nose piece off my glasses the day of FIL's funeral and need to get new glasses anyway, so that proves to be fun and expensive :/ If I didn't look so ridiculous I would just deal with them as they are, but uh....I "MacGyvered" my glasses and trust me when I tell you, bright RED Babybel cheese wax clashes with just about everything, including my face, but I don't have a scratch on my nose from the rough edge
It is time......for pig slaughter! He got out the other day, and when I had to get the dog to put him up, he hurt my baby, and severely ticked her off, so he has a little less ear now, and it is time for him to go. Tonight is supposed to be about 40 degrees, so if we get him killed and bled this afternoon, we can hang him overnight and begin the carving early morning tomorrow. I have to get some equipment for the slaughter, but we have decided to do it here ourselves, with the help of the Amish roommate..."we got this!" I'll try to get pics, depends on how deep I am personally in the process whether I will be able to get much in the way of documentation. I just hope everything goes pretty smooth. I'm a little short on patience and tolerance this week
No, smaller than a breadbox, even full grown would be much smaler than a breadbox. This one is just past weaning, maybe 6-7 weeks at my best guesstimate, but smallish for it's age. Looks to be slighty undernourished, but getting better by the day. I've never had one scream at me before, but this one does have this shreiking thing down pat when it is not getting the attention it feels it should, and then barking.
