Well there were no signs of anyone last night. They better stay away. I'm not putting up with that crap, and have spread the word whats coming to anyone else who trespasses on my property. That is the good thing about living around here, everybody knows all ya have to do is tell a couple busybodies what happened and your plans to alleviate the issue and three counties of folks know what was said in 5.1 seconds  Even better, it gets embellished a hundred times, likely before it reaches the culprit  I don't think I'll have to worry about it anymore. By now, everyone probably thinks I've got the entire property booby trapped with land mines and huge man eating hogs to get rid of the evidence :gig Small town gossip is kinda funny and gives me an advantage a lot of folks don't have. Starting rumors about myself is kinda entertaining...I amuse myself :D

Got my cow. Got my cow off the trailer. Got my cow out of the neighbors yard :p She got a little spooked, she's never been loaded before, and one might say she wasn't very fond of the idea. Once she was unloaded she became quite the little 400 pound handful until she seen the other cows, then she was easy to get up.

Now I have to get a bit of shopping done and get my tail home to make buns because we're having burgers tonight! SHH, don't tell the cows.... :hide

I'm sorry about your piglets! I hope you catch them! On the other hand, I'm glad your other cow has come home!

I do pretty much have to do all my farming in a secured area. I have too much damage from attempting to do anything in the orchard, beyond growing fruit. Unless I can set up game cams, that don't have night-time flashes.....Its ashamed people have no respect for boundaries.

Oh yeah....DD and I had a weird conversation today. We were talking about things that was going on a few years ago and i have no idea what brought it up, but she just apologized for being so terrible. She mentioned something about her friends at school and how nobody liked her a few years ago because she was angry all the time, and then she said she knew she was being a jerk then and apologized :th

I crawled her tail yesterday about spazzing out over a job she wants to get that is nowhere near feasible, and she started getting beligerent and angry saying we were holding her back...ya know teenage super drama garbage. So I just told her fine, pack your stuff up and find a rich family that can give you everything you want at the drop of a hat and go be happy. We're doing the best we can, and if it's not good enough, there are her options, and then I just walked away from her. And maybe that is what lead up to this other convo, I don't know, but it's just weird. I am NOT getting my hopes up that she's maturing too much though :p Part of her issue this last week I found out is she quit taking her ritalin again  So, we're still not "there" yet.

She's getting all uptight about only having "two more years before I move out".....like any kid really does that the day they turn 18. And that's what I told her, she is being unrealistic about moving out. Any child that moves the day they turn 18 with no more than this one has got, or likely will have, at that time, is severely abused and just wanting to run as far away as possible, and I flat out told her that. Also explained we don't want her here till she's 20, she should follow her dreams and start college during those years, get a taste of the work force and who she is other than "our daughter" and associate herself with likeminded folks during that time, not getting caught up in a bunch of drama and get off track. blah blah blah.. Maybe some of it sunk in....I can dream, right?

I'd like to think she's getting her head screwed on straight, but some of the ideas this kid comes across with just makes me shake my head.....

It was nice to be able to have a more adult convo with her though without all the drama. She's a good kid, but right now, I think I epitomize for her the barrier between childhood and adulthood and so she takes EVERYTHING out on me. My little evil troll is outgrowing some of her evil ways though :D I'm so PROUD!!!!!!

My son told me that he couldn't wait until he was 18 so he could move out. I asked him why and he said because he didn't want to have to do chores. I just looked at him and asked him who he thought was going to do them cuz I sure wasn't going to go over to his house and do them for him. He didn't have an answer to that one.

Yep, one day at a time. She's sick today, and wanting me to baby her  Teenagers are soooooooo bipolar :p I gotta make her some chicken noodle soup for lunch. I'm not feeling all that great myself, sinus issues BIG TIME, and that's her problem as well, though I think hers is a good bit worse than mine. I woke to a nosebleed, but she's got a swollen face, bright red throat, and red ears. I'll be taking her to the doctor tomorrow. Today, I'll be coddling my 15 year old baby. Miss Independent still needs me sometimes whether she likes it or not :gig It's only funny because of the way she was acting the other day. We discussed the job more in depth (and CALMLY on her part), the next morning, and we decided to let her give it a shot even against our own better judgement, then she didn't even go because she started getting ill. Go figure :/ If I ever get this one raised........

I gotta get some bird in the pot for the kid. Maybe I can at least get her out of bed and feeling a little better for a bit :hu
