Was HUMID last night, is HOT and HUMID today. They are saying 105 to 110 heat index for today. Think I'll stay in the air conditioning as much as possible today.

Sunny actual temperature is 97, feels like 103 They changed the heat index prediction to "up to 111", good gracious, this is the third excessive heat warning issued this year. You all be extra careful out there.

Not AS hot but, same story of hot/humid....and I have spent most time on inside stuff!

No guilt! Animals were well tended.

Oftentimes they will block some of the rain, but I am very thankful for the alleghaney's to the west and the blue ridge mtn's to the east... 84 high today, clouds, some sprinkley showers after 2... not much... but not anywhere near the heat index... When we get heat indexes here over 95 it is stifling hot because it is just not normal for us.

Providing water and shade for lounging, and the cattle will be fine....

I refuse to look or know!!!

Lots of good rain last night and this morning! I am sure not yet enough to reduce the fire danger significantly... but a great start!

Triple digits for the next 3 days. Small chance of rain the following week. Poured in Houston today - with flooded streets and all. Nothing here....as usual.
