What a bargain.River Runner said:Got real lucky yesterday, was talking to a gentleman that owns around 200 acers of ground behind where I live, and he was looking for someone to help clean it up by cutting down the dead trees and cleaning up the downed ones. So far I have over a cord of wood, and it is all hardwood, maple, beach, birch and still lots more there yet. All it cost me is the gas to cut it up, the bike to go get it, and the sweat needed to do the work. Will save around $150.00 per cord....gotta love being in the right spot at the right time....
Smart going! Here's to the scammershikerchick said:I didn't wire funds to a scammer in the UK posing as my stranded friend.
That's a great cost savings! I wish I could find wood cheaper than $250/cord... We did buy 5 acres of maple forested land at the end of this summer, and we will manage it to hopefully provide us with all the wood we need for our house... we just don't have any dried yet, so stuck buying wood for one more year.FarmerChick said:wowo RR that is a great deal for you.
