I am in a dinner making lull.....we haven't been eating as large of dinners this summer but more lunches and for some reason the 'big' dinners just don't seem like a lunch meal.
Chicken and sausage gumbo. I had previously dehydrated some rice. I rehydrated a 1/4 cup tonight with 1 - 1ratio with boiling water. Turned out pretty good.
I had a pint of ice cold milk. Too much sampling while making stuffed peppers most of day. . Still chopping these extra peppers...30 stuffed and packaging for freezer...now doing chop for bags to use as needed. A friend is going to be given some of these -- I'm over it!. I swear they're multiplying in that box!!
Well on the Chuckwagon today we had the following:
Chicken N Dumplings
Mashed potatoes
Corn
Biscuits with Sorghum and Sand plum syrup
Cake and Cobbler
And of course Cowboy Coffee .
And only taters left over next time use 10 lbs.
