Who's House is a Train Wreck?

I think it would traumatize my cats if I cleaned up too much, they'd think they had been shipped off to a new home. :D

I think the better question would be whose house ISN'T a train wreck. I know mine is..perpetually, and I don't care much, we rarely get company. I always have notice before someone comes over, so....I'll clean it then :P

No more than the usual mess :). Christmas decorations are still up because we like them; maybe they will come down on Thursday/Epiphany, but maybe not. The perpetual mess is my sewing room - that nice big table and the ironing board are both magnets for everything that doesn't have a home, or that needs to be moved out of the more "public" areas, but I don't have time or desire to put them away properly. Bringing (and keeping) order to that room is at the top of my "to-do" list for this month.

Train wreck AND a tornado went through!! I can't waite to get all this stuff wiped down and tucked back in the top of the barn! :th

Christmas stuff is packed away already, but with 2 dogs and a toddler, it doesn't take long for it to look like a train wreck in here! I have been working on entries to various art competitions, so I have not been cleaning and my mess is taking over the living room.

SKR8PN....bah humbug! No decorations? :smack
:gig
Well....we DID hang some lights up outside, and I made a lighted wreath to hang on the one gate, but inside, we went commando. :D

I bet you go commando on more than just the decorations in your home SKR :lau :lau :lau

I use an artifical tree inside and the stupid pole wouldn't come apart.
I had the big box just sitting there all day til Tony came home and in one sec twisted it apart. I had to look at that Xmas tree box all day. Drove me nutso! :)

OMG the giant mudroom I built --Tony took it over. All camo overalls, hunting jackets, 50 pairs of boots, and more. All over. He has the room a wreck and I told him IF I CLEAN IT UP off the floor and onto hangers, well, they ain't getting to hangers...I will ditch it all. I have no mercy MUUuuuhahaa

he said he will clean soon---yea right.

I didn't really decorate much this year...our stockings and nativity. Every other year, though, I have plenty of evergreen boughs on the porch railings, wreaths and such, not to mention in the house. I usually put away a little at a time so as to keep things organized and to not strip the house of the warmth of the holiday season all at once.

I like to leave some of it up throughout January to give the house a pretty and warm feeling. My stockings and a pretty red pashmina thrown over a chair give the house just the right smidge of warm color.

A little at a time is manageable.....

Wreck with a capitol W. Nothing new here. I can never keep up. The Christmas decor just makes the mess colorful and noisy.

:D

last night after dh came home we exchanged a few words about how are days went. He looked a me and said "Oh, and the tree is still up?"

Duhh!!! :smack I almost lost it. Ok I admit I kinda did.
