nah, it isn't dog hair, it is all the fuzzies from the crap the puppy has shredded....like chewing the foot off Nicole's barbie, eating the hair off the dolls heads, shredding apart all the clothes off their butts. And almost all her stuffed toys have been attacked big time.

dog ate a Crayola crayon, uh green color, the other day. read they are non-toxic LOL he ain't dead yet

well text to hubby got me an answer----dumbo pulled the bottom stand support off the pole. Well heck I didn't mean that part ya know. I said the POLE....not the STAND. lol and after he pulled off the stand part couldn't HE SEE the pole still doesn't fit into the box??? gee that would take 1 brain cell....he couldn't afford to use that brain cell I guess!!!

oh well....off to vacuum (around that big box) haha

ha! the day aint over neither! heh heh heh .. you'll be seein' that crayon again pretty soon if you know what i mean
;-)

our pup is about over her chewing phase. she likes to shred the mail. for heavens sakes.

tell your man he can come and grouse to my man about how hard it is to put things in the box, hamper, dishwasher etc.. i guess doing all that manly man work all day just tuckers them plumb out..... which is why the dishes are on top of the dishwasher, clothes BESIDE the hamper, tree beside the box.. blah blah blah

sheesh!

I'd be real curious to hear what everyone *considers* a messy train-wreck house, though. I have this sneaking suspicion that most people would probably say their houses are like that but different people would mean reaaaallll different things by it.

Like, my mother considers the house dangerously filthy and out of control if an object is sitting out on a table somewhere and she hasn't dusted yet that day. To me, "messy" doesn't start til you have to *rake* the carpets before you can vacuum LOL

So, I will hereby admit to what my house normally looks like (if nothing else it will give lots of you something to feel you're doing a lot better than  ). This is what I consider routine, mind you, not "uh oh better get it under control" :

-- significant animal hair, hay, and cut-up pitzels of paper visible on most carpets.

-- pretty much all horizontal surfaces (tables, etc) covered by books/papers/stuff, although stacks usually less than a foot high

-- very little kitchen counter accessible because much (of what there is) is covered with jars of beans or spices, canisters of sugar etc, supply of can-be-reused plastic bags, cooking utensils, etc.

-- regularly-used pots and pans live on the top of the stove, being relocated as needed to uncover burners for use

-- toilet bowls are grimy despite weekly cleaning; sinks are grimy with hard-water deposits and only cleaned if people are coming over.

There, do you feel better now? Or do I have company? :p

Pat, you have company here! Between 2 large dogs, 3 cats and a DH who never puts anything away or tosses it out, all "supervised" by a woman who wears her coop shoes in the house.........

And that's just the floors! You should see the table tops, desk tops and counters - actually I should see them, if I keep digging long enough!

hmm Ohio, my man must be your man too

I gave Tony the law. I will not pick up any clothes left on the floor on his side of the bed. Nope, never. I left some socks there like for 2 months and ONE DAY I HAD TO SAY TO HIM-----what the? can't you see....I haven't touched them...YOU DO IT---at least put them in the laundry pile! Of course I went nutso on him and he didn't have a clue about the socks----my goodness MEN!

needless to say nothing is left on the floor on his side of the bed now
---1 for Karen---I trained that nasty habit out of him. Well, maybe YELLED it out haha

ok Pat--my house is a shrine compared to what you listed lol
nothing is on my counters or tables and there are no piles
nothing is under my couches (not even a dust bunny lol)

seriously to me a wreck is "everything out of place and extra stuff around" lol

I love a bare, uncluttered home. I just like to live that way cause it keeps my brain in check. If anything gets cluttered it seems to effect ME like crazy...haha...

my MIL is a hoarder and her home has a "path" thru the entire house. Yup to me it is disgusting and I can only spend a "minute" in there if I HAVE to go inside. I just get so overwhelmed yet to her havng that stuff "around" her is comforting.

Go figure how everyone operates in this world :gig
If she lived in my home she would go nuts, if I lived in hers I would take a match to it :gig

My house is ALWAYS a mess. I cannot get anyone to help me clean it, and we have way to much junk! I'm not working until later today, and had planned on spending much of the day cleaning. There's just one small problem-I'm beat! I went back to sleep today after my hubby left, and slept until 9:30. Since then, I've fed the bunnies, gave the goats some pine branches, gave all the animals water and made myself a cup of coffee. I'm getting ready to get up and actually do some work. If I had a week off, I could get so much done and probably feel rested.

Way to go FC!

Um, I think I need to rake the carpet today :D Messy to me is cluttered beyond things I use every day. Like the 150 balloons that are floating all over the house still from my daughter's b-day party. I'm not exaggerating that number.
I think my house is clean with an underlying messy factor :D
The kids are terrible about picking things up, carrying to another room and dropping them. That bugs me.
There are crumbs on the dining table and you can't see the surface of most any table in the house. Eh, easily taken care of.
The sun is shining so I can see all the dust particles and dog hair on the kitchen floor. Dyson, here I come.
I guess I should get busy, but why, when it will only last 30 minutes and revert back to the mess I started with?
