Karen, I tried that sock training trick. It did not work. :he

I just typed a couple whole paragraphs about how frustrated cleaning makes me. I complained until my faced turned bright red. Then I glanced around the house and realized it was not helping.

I just need to man up and get it done. Wait I think that should be Woman Up. My man could never keep up with this mess.

Speaking of kids dropping things wherever - I found a comb on a shelf in the pantry. WHO combs their hair in the PANTRY?!?

My house is always train wreck. I have a 4 year old and 10 month old plus I babysit a 10 month three days a week. Every time I clean one mess they make another one. I have really been trying to decide if I just should pack it all up and take it to Goodwill. If they don't have anything to get out, they can't make a mess. My kids just have too many toys. My husband doesn't help. He thinks all house work is women's work. I can't wait until summer and the kids can play outside.

I remember reading something years (decades ) ago - Dear Abby? - that to get your man to hang up his own clothes you should pick them up from wherever he left them, and hang them up yourself - but not neatly! Hang up his pants without straightening the seams, throw his shirts on the hanger any which way, etc. Do this a couple of times, and he will start to do it himself in self defense. Sounded like a good idea, so once I got married I tried it. It didn't work. My guy couldn't care less about seams and wrinkles  Now I just tell him that I will be sorting the laundry in awhile; please check if you have anything that should be washed. If it isn't in the hamper it won't get washed until the next time. He can of course do it himself, but I would just as soon he not do that. I tend to get hives thinking about the washer running a full cycle with only one shirt in it
