*grins* Well, I'll learn both. I want to crochet. :D

AUNTIE!!!!!!!!!!!

We're going to see Emilie Autumn Feb 21 at the Bluebird. I bought 3 tickets (they are paying me back, Imooto and Boy)... it's 24 a person. !!!! Wanna go???

I bought them now. This will sell out fast.

They have til the concert to pay me back :)

This is why I'm the frugal one LOL. I had the money just sitting there. *laughing*

*bounces* You gotta come! What day is the 21st? *wonders if she works and needs to request off*

I used my mad research skillz. It's a Monday. Mon, Feb 21, 2011 08:00 PM. :D I'm off work at 630! Woot. No lost hours.

*twirls*

Anyone else wanna join us?!?

:weee

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my savings account? LOL. I always order the tickets and they pay me back. They haven't had as much time to save as I've had a job the longest LOL. They're getting there though. I'm a good example.

My Imooto wrote to tell me I'm a good influence on her. She's more honest and forthright now! YAY!!! And she can cook now. And she is less shy about her body. And she's learning to sew. *laughing*

She's teaching me guitar, to shoot, and how to get my resume out there. *love!!!*

So I managed an event. Actually I coped well. Imooto and Boy and I laughed because a few years ago (before good diet) I tended to melt down sooo much. Everyone who knew me then says I have a LOT more energy now and I look amazing. *beams*

I babysat Imooto's parents because both of them (Imooto and Boy) are in the baronial whatever and stand behind the thrones. Imooto is Bard and Boy is a guard. So I told them a bit of what was going on during court. And I saw many people who were glad to see me.

Also, Auntie, I promised to attend another event. First weekend in April.

AND I'm going to a concert in late Feb. *laughing*

I'm soooo social!!!

So... I keep coming back to "how does an uneducated, barely experienced person get a better job" and the only thing I can think of is CNA. *sighs*

I would hate it less than I hate my current job, and there would also be more job security and higher pay. I really like old people and the dying. It's their FAMILIES with whom I'd have issues.

So the two obstacles are money for my CNA and getting to the class (I'd need an earlier work schedule). However, my step dad said flat out that he'd give me a thousand if I needed it LOL. I can see if this counts ;) And I can ask my job for a different shift once I decide when I would take the classes.

Then once I get it, I still have my current job, and I can take my time finding a place that is decent at which to work. The higher rated homes and hospice places.

I need off the phones. My job is pretty low stress compared to the previous, but I'm hitting the in tears every day point again at the thought of phones. I don't know if it would be any easier on me as a CNA but I don't remember crying every day when I did it 10 years ago >.> And I'm MORE stable now LOL.

What do you guys think? Is it something I could actually handle all right??

I think having your CNA would be a good idea. I know you keep thinking about it and talk to me about it from time to time. It is one of those ideas that wont leave you alone.

Maybe the universe is trying to tell you something? :D

The universe wants me happy. *nod nod* It fears the unhappiness of the abifae!!

So likely so. I'll talk to Step Dad and the supervisor at work. I can take the class March or June. It's every 3 months for 3 months. Two days a week plus 2 weekends.

My D2 worked for a LONG time in dietary at a nursing home. She loved it! The benefits were pretty good and so was the pay. That would also include your happy place .. the kitchen!

The problem with that is Abi's idea of good nutrition and the nursing home and doctor's ideas of good nutrition wouldn't be the same. Abi, of course, would be right - but...................

That really is one issue. The other: the patients' families. LOL!!!

But I do think I can do it. :hu

It is worth a try. It's off the phones. My job is way too overstimulating. Working with the dying would be less so. I did really good with spinal cord injuries when I was a CNA before. I just need to redo classes as it's been a decade.

I'm healthier now. I burned out PHYSICALLY last time.

So... here is how to make your own patterns, per Tish, my inner helper who is good at shapes. ("my" LOL. NONE of us claims the body. We are all just guests.)
