I've seen some places that claim that patterns can be adjusted from knit to crochet, but I've never figured it out :hu

I know folk who do both quite well and can translate. I don't understand knitting notation at ALL yet LOL. So I'm useless ;)

*dancing to Happy Phantom* Tori Amos is so hot. :D

I just finished rolling the mocha ganache through cacao nibs and coffee beans ground together. So they're officially truffles now.

The peanut butter maples are scooped and firming. Once firm, I'll fix them into ROUND balls LOL. Then I freeze for a bit and dip in chocolate.

The fat bombs take FOREVER to get firm and them poof they're too hard to work with. I might leave them as bars, then cut the bars and dip them to store more easily. :hu

I too can crochet up a storm. Knit if I HAVE to. It is almost like my hands don't communicate with each other long enough to knit. I really don't like knitting.

You are killing me with the truffles. :p *drool*

I only loom knit, but can usually look at a picture of a knitting project and fire out how to loom it. I can't do all the fancy stitches, but I don't have patience to do those anyway :D

I have a circle loom for knitting and my related sister gave me her yarn because she didn't have time for any projects, so I need to learn how to do it. Loom knitting seems MUCH more my speed. LOL.

The truffles are awesome! I ground cacao nibs and coffee beans together and rolled the mocha ganaches in it and it hardened around it into a shell. It's really cool. They look very professional. Tiny, but professional :D I do all my treats half sized so I can eat one and not have to set half aside for sugar reasons!

The peanut butters are nom too. Breakfast = one of each with a big cup of milk LOL. Ignoring my attempt at melting the whole pan of them together... White chocolate covers many mistakes LOL. I drizzled them and a bit extra on whatever spots I could cover.

Due to a roommate, I already wrapped and froze almost all of them (left a few out for my step dad and imooto today).

The fat bombs, I froze in muffin tins. Took three sets to finish them all. But I have 36 "cookies". They're perfect. 2 Tablespoons each. Then I dipped them each in chocolate. Technically I dipped the bottoms and flipped them upside down (the muffin tin gave the outward slope so i had a spot to hold them and could dip the bottom side).

And I am the exact opposite! I can crochet if I HAVE to, but my hands prefer working together! I talked to a friend about it and she thinks it is probably from years of horseback riding and using the reins. :p

So far, knitting is fairly easy for me. I just haven't taken the time to learn more than knits and purls... and I get lost on COUNTING for patterns. *laughing* Ms NO ATTENTION SPAN. :hide

My crochet has so far always ended up in odd little balls.... I haven't figured out counting OR tension there (no tension issues in knitting since my first attempt). They look like a cat toy dreamed up on acid.

I've got a friend (my Mama-2, I call her) who can crochet Granny Squares all day long - but nothing else. It all turns into wiggles and squiggles if she tries to do anything else.

Me, I have tried, and tried, and tried to knit. Learned to crochet from one of those "Teach Yourself to Crochet" kits back in junior high, and so I figured why wouldn't this work for knitting. I figure it's the two hooks (and that they don't have hooked ends!) that does it for me - I've been using one for so long, my brain can't make the transition to two  So, oh well....
