Wow! Look at that... and you were worried about your peas earlier. Hope you got some sleep and maybe got to sleep in this morning.

Congrats on the squash blossom, peas, and chicks! I have lots of seeds started inside but it's been too wet to get my peas in the garden. I do have garlic that I planted last fall that is about 4 or 5" tall. Other than that just waiting for everything to dry out a little. I am hoping this weekend to get peas in the ground.

I did get some sleep, thanks! Funny - my friend that I work out with sent me a text message about 1015pm asking if we were going to the gym this morning. I had gone to bed / into a light coma at 930. So I was sleep texting. I kept waking up and having to erase the gibberish pfaomacwe ... and then instead of saying what I meant to say ( I'm game) , I told her "I'm game I have the boys but should be there by 9". She said let's just wait til thursday LOL she asked me today what the heck I was talking about.

Those blossoms are on my "rebel" squash - they just popped up in random places.

My hen has 3 chicks now - 2 yellow and a little black one with a white dot (probably from a barred rock). There were some eggs that were several days behind in development when I candled them (from other hens laying when she got up), so I have no idea how many she will wait to hatch.
She nearly beat the snot out of Rio (my 107lb Lab) when he came in the chicken house with me..... I don't know if I am more proud of my chicken for not being afraid of the dog or more embarassed about my dog being afraid of a chicken.

A lady is coming tomorrow to look at the almost 6wk old chicks.. she may want some. She told Mr. ON that she went to the feedstore twice and they were sold out. The guy at the feedstore told her he had never seen so many people buying chickens.
So anyway hopefully she'll take some of my unsexed chicks instead of discovering TSC has tons :D . I am keeping the red one and the almost solid white one (my faves) so they better be pullets!

In other news I have completed my psych eval for the weight loss surgery and I "passed". I have lost almost 20lbs since starting in Feb, and hopefully will have lost at least 30-35 before the surgery (hopefully in AUgust or Sept). More weight loss before = lessening the risks of the surgery itself.
I can't wait to ride a bike. To have Buddy trained and take him out to the national forest to ride.... *sigh* :)

AL, you ever get up this way, and want to go for a ride, LMK. I'm sure we could come up w/a horse for you as well as a place to ride.

Thanks, Deb! When I am at a riding weight I may take you up on that!!!
Woot! I am so excited, FF, for the first time in many many years I am actually looking forward to my future instead of just plodding along through life. Cool stuff, this "hope"

So my 6wk old chicks (or almost 6wk) are getting big and beautiful. A lady is supposed to come see them today but I haven't heard from her yet.

I think the black one looks like a crow

Gotta go get beans, peas and corn in the ground... I will finish the garden by Saturday evening.
