In my old "office" area upstairs (before I was moved to the main floor due to my arthritis) I painted the wall crisp white and then ragged (with a Walmart bag) over that with a school bus yellow. Very bright and textural, but would have been horrible if I had used the yellow alone. :/

Of course I like it for a small "office" type of room. It would drive me crazy in a main room of the house. I much prefer soft colors and neutrals. :)

It will all come together, I'm sure, but now I have 3 gal. of paint that I may or may not be able to use anywhere in my home. I'm thinking of donating them to the Christian's Assistance Network here in town...they would be cute colors for a kid's room or a daycare.
I don't know if this is helpful or not but my husband works at home depot and if you buy the paint from them, they will remix it. Can you take it back to where you bought it and have them just change it? I know sometimes that doesn't work depending on what colors you're going to and from but sometimes it does.

Walmart..... :/ If I wanted to go darker, they may be able to do it but I doubt if they could go lighter on this. This is just one of those mistakes, you know?

I emailed Tammy~AKA Morelcabin~and she has great news to share and she has been very busy with building her new home.

I told her that we miss her and she said she will try to stop in and give an update. :)

Well Bee you could always paint the sheep barn with it!

If you ever look at my website and wonder why in the world anyone would EVER paint the inside of a chicken coop turquoise and hot pink, now you know. I had extra paint (bought a can in the WRONG color) and needed to seal the surface of the coop to help keep it cleaner. :thumbsup

Get a 5 gallon bucket and pour all the paint in it and then mix in the white, that way it is all the same color. You can also get a grate thing that fits inside a 5 gallon bucket and then you don't need paint trays. Let us know how everything turns out!

Bee, paint is a pain isn't it??? I went to Walmart and got the color Pineapple Citrus to do my pantry. It is very nice yellow. It is the color of a nice popular leaf in the fall. I done my whole house in "fall" colors. My livingroom and kitchen is done in Warm Brick. It reminds me of tomato soup! ;)
My daughters room is also yellow,,...I just can't remember the color,...:idunno

BTW,..glad to see the ice and rain or the BIG wind didn't do you in!

It is a pain....but it always looks so clean and bright after painting!

We are getting the winds right now.....my Charlie Brown tree is listing to one side..... :(

The winds are God's way of cleaning the floor! :) Out with the stale air systems...in with the new.

I see it that way too,..I always find when we have tons of rain we always get a good strong wind to dry it up. Thank goodness because my pond was running over this morning! :ep The drain pipe was clogged with duck feathers! :gig

The winds have died down here, now it is getting chilly. I would rather have the chilly weather though. This morning it was a mess here. Our creeks had went out of their banks flooding our one lane road. We had to drive our son out of here to catch his bus. The bus was not going to get passed the debris were we could in our truck. Nothing unusual though, every winter and spring same ole stuff!

They closed school today due to the flooding. I have a small river running through my front yard and it comes from an underground spring located in the wall of my garage! Big crack there and the stream runs right out of it....funniest thing.

My garage was the original film site choice for the movie "A River Runs Through It".....

Yep, the winds remove all the dead limbs from trees and debris from the fields and piles them neatly along the fences. Like a big broom.

Farm, I didn't know your chickens got to enjoy those Caribbean colors! If it wasn't such rough lumber in my coop, I might consider painting it sunny yellow.....no artificial lighting system here...no, sirree....those birds will lay all winter just from being next to those yeller walls!
