Your last paragraph reminded me of something a very wise friend told me once when I was in turmoil about losing our home. I told him that I am fine whether we stay or move, I just need to know. I am fine with change but I just need to know which way this is going to go and how I struggle with the unknown. He pointed me that unknown outcomes are the best, if we knew what would happen everyday what a boring rut we would be in. If there were no unknowns, there would be no lovely surprises like an unexpected phone call from an old friend or a gift of kindness from a stranger.

So I will say to you....embrace the unknown. Things will come together as they should, this could be the best thing to happen to you :) Stop fighting to swim upstream and just relax and float for a while while this all comes together :hugs You already know God has a plan.

oh wow BEE!! I had no idea you were in a wreck either!! I wasn't on too much until yesterday, then had to do some catching up. WOW Take care of yourself!! :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs

I don't like rushing into vehicle purchases at all, especially if I'm going into debt to do so
Sometimes the peace comes when we allow God to lead us into a situation, that by all natural accounts around us, doesn't seem like the ideal situation. We weren't called to be comfortable though, we were called to trust in him and be changed, and in that is unbelievable peace. It just may not look like what we thought it would.

Oh! and I second what Dace said!! :D

Words of wisdom, for sure! Thank you for your words of wisdom, Dace and Okie! I really need them right now, my mind is so restless and I can't seem to shut it off. I've been working on this over the years but I find its still hard for me to let a plan develop that isn't one of my own making. As you probably can tell, I am real big on making and developing plans for my life! God just doesn't happen to agree, so I struggle against Him at times in a futile attempt to have my own way. But...I'm learning.....even if it takes a big thump on the head to learn it!!! :he

I just wish, sometimes, that the signs of what to do and where to go next were a little more clearly marked, you know? :idunno

You remind me of the joke about a person praying for patience. "God please give me patience and give it to me NOW!"

Perhaps this is the lesson God is trying to teach right now. Just let him be in charge. Trust him... just float, like Dace suggests. It WILL work out.

Maybe you should leave out a can of spray paint when you go to bed. :gig

With my life, I'd wake up and it would be spray painted on my forehead, Dace! :p

Well, I will for sure be praying tonight about getting a car tomorrow! I really, really need to have something reliable and good in the snow by Monday. It will be a pure-D miracle if God can procure that for me in one day! :D

The rest of the story is that I got my income tax, so have some money to work with....but no vehicles in my price range or in the type that I require. I found one advertised that was likely but was gone long ago. After fixing my son's heater motor, I drove it a short way and decided that I could not drive it to work on a daily basis for several reasons:

1. My son never told me because he thought it was normal, but this car is a danger to drive! I think it has ball joint problems or possibly tie rod end problems, as it drifts all over the road! Death trap!

2. We have another big storm coming on this week and the death trap has rear wheel drive and summer tires....no thanks!

3. It is the most uncomfortable car I've ever driven in my life!!! :he

So...rental car for a week until I can find something suitable. This gives me a little time and I may travel back to my home town where the choices are greater and the prices cheaper. These folks price their cars like they price their land.....too far above book value!! :p

I did find someone local who is selling St. Croix/Katahdin lambs, so it's a possibility I can pick up my lambs without driving 3 counties away! They don't have the Dorper blood, but I may have to compromise a little.

I may also buy a cheap, older truck I heard about that will serve as my farm truck....this way I will have a back up 4x4, the son won't have to drive a death trap, and I won't have to buy a utility trailer. We can sell the death trap or use it to trade in on a car I may finance.

AND....the piece de resistance!!! I found someone in this county who is giving away horse and sheep manure~they load, I haul!!!! Every time it rains, it rains pennies from Heaven....<singing>...do ya' know the lyrics to that one, Dac?
