:weee Praise God for all of His blessings and good care.

I am so happy for the Bat and for you too.

Also
It feels good when your kids start making those big strides into adulthood.

The best thing about that is how smart you will become with in a very short time. My kids still come over or call quite often to tap my (new found in their eyes) wisdom. It still cracks me up to see my sloppy old D1 asking people to remove their shoes so they don't track up the house or hear my GEEK son complain about the cost of toilet paper! ;)
Oh, Farm, I can't wait for that! :D I already talked them out of getting dogs..... Persuaded them to get a cheapy above ground pool instead~ for all the wild parties they are planning..... :p

Hee!Hee! :clap Wait until they find out that parties really cost money!! :pop

I was listening to a sermon on the radio the other day about spending time with your kids and doing crazy-fun stuff, spending money and such.....and it occured to me that I hadn't done anything like that in a long time. :(

We used to be doing something every chance we got...going fishing, swimming in the river, taking a trip to visit someone or something....but lately, I've been working like a mule and its been all work and no play.

I started crying while listening to that sermon and immediately pulled over and called the kids on my work phone. Told them I was sorry and that we are going to get back to doing fun things....only problem is now they have all sorts of priorities on their schedules and it will be much more difficult.

Sad how life just kind of catches you in a rip tide and sweeps you away from your familiar shores.....wish I had spent more time this past year having fun! :(

Well....I'm sure we will have more opportunities for fun and now I may just have more money to spend on such things! :thumbsup

Thank you all for your support during Bat's saga....she isn't through the woods yet but she can definitely see a clearing up ahead! :)

Bee, I am so glad to see things are finally coming together for you and Bat. You both deserve a break!
Oh boy, the kids are moveing out. :D It is a sweet sadness...I know. But, they wont be far, and there will be MANY great weekends together....im sure. Just sit back, and watch them "bloom" into the fine young men you raised them to be!;) then, under your breath, laugh at thier "trivial" complaints. Electric bills, gas, TP, groceries...etc. Oh, they will come running home to " moms pantry" Mine did! LOL Well, sometimes they STILL do! LOL Especially this time of year...canning season. :/ Just rest in knowing...you raised them to be fine young men, and they will be OK. Now its time for the next stage in YOUR life....no kids at home! :p I have to admit...its lonely at first...but really...its nice....most days. :)

The funny thing is, I can actually see my guys "cooking" up something like this..pun intended.

Oh, to be young and dumb again.......NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!!! :D Now, to be young, have my young body and know what I know now.....priceless! I'd take that over winning the lottery any day... :p

Well, the boys and I had a great litte mini-vacation and we had a blast! The weather was beautiful and we upgraded to a better hotel after the first night~the old hotel had no working air conditioning and we sweltered all night! :rant

The other place had a pool and all the other great things that entertain boys....Mom still won at pool dead man dodge ball and even air hockey...just like the old days! :D

The room was absolutely beautiful and had a HUGE jacuzzi tub, fireplace, movies and games, balconey, AC, microwave, fridge....everything that makes going away from home so darn nice. The view was spectacular and we got to go fishing at the place we used to when the boys were little, also visited all the old tourist haunts and overlooks we used to do.

Stayed an extra night even....I really needed that fun and a break from work and life. I loved spending time with the boys and doing the do. We ate some really great foods and visited with family...even got to look at my sis's chickens, which were beautiful.

Came home to find the animals had done well in our absence and everyone was well and accounted for. Not bad for being gone 3 nights.

Almost didn't want to come back....felt good to spend a little money and not have to wear a watch. :)
