Happy New year to all. Went to bed around 10 to get up at 3 and leave to go to test a farm.... milking at 5. Did that, came home, let the chickens out into the greenhouse shelter and made myself some bacon and eggs for breakfast. RAINING.... thank you lord very much..... 50's but temps will be down to the 30's for the day time temps on Monday. Going in to wash all the cow manure/iodine smell out of my hair and be clean for a day or 2. Inside work to do today.

Freezing here too -9 deg F but feels like -27.

I am still under the covers, DH had to work so I know he built up the fire at 3 am. I do not want to go out and do chores. Our high today is supposed to be -3 but feel like -teens all day.

all of the black copper marans for the year were sold out,

Happy New Year! Its cold here, but DH's various insulation projects have paid off. Wood furnace is keeping up and not burning through much wood. A couple rooms are cold, but thats an old farmhouse for you!

I woke up cranky as a bear woken up from hibernation too early. DH has a habit of watching movies on his phone for hours after my bedtime. My dog woke me up 3x pawing at a door.

I moved my bedding to a different bedroom. I cant be sleep deprived and be a decent human at the same time.
