I've got wasp spray but I don't like to use it if I can help it and especially not indoors. :/

Yay! I found one of the books I was looking for! :celebrate

It was actually hidden behind another book in the milk crate book shelves back in the bedroom. It was the next to last place I decided to look before I tore the bed up so I could get under there and check the books that I've got boxed up underneath it.

I soooo don't want to go there, but really need to do it as my little pruning how-to book is still MIA. :hide I'm dragging out the inevitable though and going to finish cleaning up after the first damage I've managed to create before I go any further.

Hope everyone has had a good day! :D

It was absolutely gorgeous here...sunshine, nice breeze and we only hit 79 degrees! :bow What a nice break from the "too close to 90 degrees" of the past few days.

Doc's week off started today so we just had a lazy kind of day but still got things accomplished. I like days like that. ;)

Got out and spooked around the woods to see if any of the ginseng had sprouted but didn't look real hard and it's still kind of early, so I wasn't bummed that we didn't notice anything.

Planted six Ostrich ferns and three Lady ferns in the woods in hopes that they'll naturalize. :fl

We hauled in some deadfall wood and got it busted up so that I could burn more stumps out of the berry bush section of the orchard.

The woods are slowly starting to green up...Hickories are blooming, Redbuds are in full bloom and the Dogwoods are just getting geared up. Noticed buds on the Dewberry vines, too!

Found my first Luna moth out behind the garden today, too! I was super excited about that as I've been hoping to see one since we've moved here and our woods are the ideal place for them!

Took plenty of pix but don't have them off the camera yet, but will post them as soon as I do.

Sounds like a nice day! Everything is pretty much doing the same here, hickories are already creating more shade, our redbud is blooming, snowball bush is coming out nicely, and we have grass again :woot and it's SO GREEN :D I like the Luna Moths too. We usually get a lot of them here :)

Ain't nothin' bloomin' here! Wildflowers are a few weeks away still... unless this rain we get this weekend stimulates them. The ground squirrels have been slowly popping up and there are birds and beetles everywhere! It's so cool to watch the flycatchers bobbing and weaving; catching insects in mid-air!

Just wanted to do a quick check in...

Still working on those pix...computer is giving me fits and won't let me use Photobucket so it's slow going.

Speaking of slow...we've got a huge, slow moving storm system headed our way and are under a tornado watch until 10 p.m. tonight. :hide What a way to start of the Spring!

:celebrate Happy Official Spring to All! :celebrate
