We're getting it tonight. The wind has picked up, and I'm debating on whether or not to go and get a load of wood or not. I don't feel like it, but then again, the wood is probably fairly dry now and it won't be after tonight. :(

OK, this weather is nuts! They had originally been calling for rain to start yesterday afternoon, so I took the truck. I could have taken the bike. :( And, they were calling for thunderstorms and wind. Well, I woke up at around 3:30, and couldn't get back to sleep. And, that's about when the rain started. It's almost over. There was hardly any wind, no thunder and it's still warm out! I don't even have a fire going though I may make one just to keep the basement warm. They are calling for wind today, so I don't think I'll take the bike.

I did go out and get wood yesterday. But, it was getting late when I went out and I didn't get quite a whole pickup load. The stuff I cut down was dry, the rest, not so much. So, the stuff that was dry got placed in the woodshed and everything else got covered w/the tarp. I'm planning on cutting up what's under the tarp today. Then, I'm hoping I can get a load tomorrow. I'll leave the stuff in the wood shed where it is for now. If I need to cut up some stuff that's dry, I'll have it.

Oh, and there's a bunch of small, dead cedar trees in there, more than enough for the trellises I want to make for my garden, so I'll be going in there one day and getting what I need! :weee

It would be better if I got a better price. They only went for a little over $1.00/dozen. :(

Early this morning, the wind really picked up. We got some rain, and the temps dropped. So, once again, we have winter type of temps. And, I was really enjoying the watmer weather. :hit I've looked at the forecast, and while it's not going to be as cold as it was, it's not going to be all that nice out.

W/the way the wind was blowing, I was glad that I didn't have to be out in it. I go to a Bible study Thursday mornings, so I got to spend the morning inside. And, hearing how that wind was whistling and blowing made me very glad. All I did at the farm was feed and pick up manure. But, that doesn't take long. I think tomorrow is supposed to be about the same. But, I'll get to spend the day inside again. I have a volunteers meeting over at the Nature Center. I actually forgot about it until I opened my e-mails this evening. So, I guess tomorrow I'll be doing about like I did today, though I will have to bag feed.

Once I was done at the farm, I had to run some errands. I didn't get home until after 4:30! By the time I got everything in the house, got the goats and the bunnies taken care of, and got the fire going, it was after 5:00. I did manage to get some of the wood cut up and stacked in the wood shed! :woot Tomorrow, I plan on getting another load, then I won't get more until I have it all cut up and stacked. Came in the house, and got a load of clothes going. They'll get tossed in the dryer when they're done. I forgot to wash them earlier, and I kind of need them. I don't have any clean PJs.

I was going to do some dishes and make a nice, yummy dinner. Instead, I got a frozen pizza out of the freezer, and cooked it. I'm beat! I'd love to go to bed right now, but I can't until my laundry is done. Oh well.

Wish you could find a place to sell them for you for a better price. Hope you're getting some rest!

Nobody's willing to pay much for eggs up here either :/ My MIL said she donated 10 dozen to her church, because she had so many and no customers. Which was a double bummer, because I had hoped to get her to sell some of our overflow! :p

Well, I took a dozen w/me to the volunteer's meeting and sold them for $2.00! And hubby has now told me to let him take them to work. I wanted him to do that B4 and he wouldn't. :he I think I can get $3.00 a dozen there!

I didn't get another load of wood after all. I may get it today. First off, it snowed in the morning and was more than the flurries they were calling for. Then, the wind picked up and I won't cut down trees w/the wind like that. Even though I won't go over a certain size, I don't want to take the chance of having the wind blow it on me! There are a couple that are too big for me to cut. I'm afraid of doing something wrong and having them land on me. So, what I'm going to do w/them is get them started, then leave them. W/all the wind we've been getting lately, I figure we get a good wind, it will knock them down the rest of the way if I have them started. And, w/all the wind, I'm seriously considering building a small wind turbine for out at the farm.

It's really cold again for here-13*. This is the day of my bird walk, but I'm asking myself if I really want to go. I have my nature club at 10:30, but w/that, at least I'm inside! Then, choir practice at 12:30. From there, I'll head out to the farm and give Stormy his 2nd feeding and clean the field. I didn't do it yesterday. If it's not too bad when I get home, I'll go and get another load of wood. At the very least, I do need to get stuff cut up. They're calling for some snow, but weren't really sure what it was going to do. I've found that typically that's when we get walloped. :/

It's too cold out there! I went for a bird walk this morning, and was glad I had hot chocolate w/me. Then, I had my nature club. I didn't even attempt to take the kids out. But, they had fun and learned some stuff. Only problem being, I had to stop a couple of times and explain things in more details to the adults that were there. So, the kids learned about things like monocots and dicots, angiosperms and gymnosperms.

After nature club, I went to my new church for choir practice. There was no choir where I was attending, and I missed it. Plus, any singing that I was doing was soprano, and I prefer to sing alto. Now, I'm back to alto! They're also going to start to schedule me for special music, which I'm glad of. I enjoy doing it and there are so many different things I can do.

From there, it was out to the farm. Got Stormy fed, got some of the field cleaned, got Cindy taken care of and the chickens and left. Out of 3 eggs, only 1 is any good. The other 2 cracked from freezing. :(

I was going to do some wood, but just was too beat. I'm hoping we don't get a bad storm this weekend. But, if we do, I have enough wood in the woodshed for at least a week. I'm hoping I don't need to use it. I may or may not go out tomorrow and get wood.

I'm with ya on the hating to sing soprano! I sound so fake trying to sing like that  Glad you found a church with a choir :)
