Yeah they're that small, and quick on their feet! I had about 4 get loose in the truck that day and took me forever to catch them. Had to wait for them to get a chill and start peeping where they WANTED to get back with their hatch mates....silly birds. Soooo hard to catch if they don't want to be because they're so small they're easy to injure.

They're so tiny, I guess you have to be super careful when you handle them.

Definitely can't squeeze 'em too hard, lol!

Today started a little sad and scary. Heard this morning that a work acquaintance went home and found her husband dead in their kitchen yesterday... :( Feel so bad for her. Just goes to show ya never know when your contract on this earth is gonna expire...

Just a few minutes after I got to my office, DH called and said he thought his mom needed to go to the ER. I offered to take her but she called me and she said she was gonna get an appt. with her primary care doc. She sounded pretty strong to me so I think she'll be ok. She's had some ahem...digestive issues... We urged her to keep hydrated and keep us informed. DH tends to over react, lol.

DH has his pre-op appt. with the eye doc today and we NEED to keep that appt. or it'll throw off his surgery schedule, so I'm glad the problem with his mom doesn't seem to be serious.

Started milking another goat last night - a young Nubian. I milked her last year and she remembers the routine. She's still nursing two babies but she gave me a half-gallon after being separated from her babies for 10 hours - and - I didn't strip her out because I wanted to leave something for her starving babies, lol. She's a good one!

Sorry about your friend, glad the MIL seems okay, and that doe sounds like a keeper! Wow! All that milk!

X2 to all of that. How awful.

Sounds like a great milker! Hope your husband's appt goes well:fl

What a long day - ugh. We were at the docs for nearly 3 hours - but we got it all done! Poor DH is in bed with a cool rag over his eye - those injections are painful. We both just want this over with. And, thankfully, his mom get to her apt and her doc made a medication change. Hope that straightens her out.

Today is my son's b'day! He's 38 years old - how did that happen? It was just about a week ago he was jumping his bicycle over dangerous objects. Then it was wheelies on a motorcycle...a few days after that he was married and now he's turning gray - how did that happen?

No news on the critter front. No news on the garden front. Looked at the pines and I might pinch off some of the tips and try that pine syrup. Most likely too late this year, but heck I'll give it a small try.

Wish I had some time off this weekend, but gonna be scratching just to get the basics done - much less anything extra. I'm trying to get ahead at work so I can take a few days off and use up my comp time.

I'm tired and will prolly call it a night shortly. Just need to unwind a few minutes and what better place than SS? :)
