Grabbed a quick shot of the Pygmy baby today. She’s so cute and still so tiny!

So far great weekend!!! Three less mouths & milking chores. I know it seems "not worth it" . Damned buyers -- they think they bought the FARM!! BTDT. You did good!

I'm heading back to the barn where a doe is in labor. Not a good feeling as I think we have a problem. I'm in getting extra towels, etc. Has the appearance of a problem and I'm not looking forward to any. Just got her back in her stall that I was cleaning & re bedding, while she hollered to get back!!! Immediately laid down and I'm letting her chill for a few before I head back out....about NOW. :idunno

:fl Sure hope your doe is just being a wussy - and that things will work out perfectly! This is your first kidding this year, huh?

Yep, acting wussy. Yep, first this yr -- Great start, trip bucks. :he First ones always makes you on edge, each year, no matter how many years! I know you know.

She had pawed the hell out of her stall today. Took her out about 6 under protest, she hollered to get back until 7:30. Pawed and paced. ( I had to clean that stall up and fresh shavings) I left her to chill about 8. She didn't get busy with it until 9-9:15, then a little pushing, piddly. 9:45 got serious and popped trips within 15 minutes! I had to move them to make room for the next one coming:D But all good, up, will be checking for nursing in a little while. She's busy cleaning them right now. Made sure she had a drink, etc. before I came in.

Just concerned because it was obvious she had been in mild labor for a while before I got home. Never saw any stringy goop and all that, I was at work. She's never had issues but, was a real wide load.

Oh, all white. She's 1/2 Saanen/1/2 Nubian, all white, dad full Saanen, so white. Doelings would have been a dream come true. But 6 more does due sometime. :caf

Relief...a glass of wine!

By the way, that TINY little kid is so adorable! Smaller than a chicken. :D Huggable!! That hen is sure giving it the eye, too.

@Mini Horses - Congrats on the new arrivals - even if they are bucks. Now days I tell myself that bucklings can be considered a blessing - not so tempted to keep them - unless it's for the freezer.

The little pygmy doeling is absolutely adorable. Even cuter when she's bouncing around on pogo legs, lol. She is just a doll! But - gonna try to sell her and mama as a package. I hate it, but I have to get tough. I hate getting tough. :(

Not sure what's on the agenda today since it got so cruddy outside. Maybe nothing but normal maintenance. And laundry... ugh.

:idunno Boys...it's life. She was kinder last yr, 2d/1b.

Only 6 (or 8?) left to go. Slack, compared to FEM. :hide:D

Milking will begin in a few weeks. Lilly will be busy with 3 big kids but, will milk her later. Others probably will have 2 each...possibly a single for one, FF.

FEM I just keep looking at that tiny pygmy. I can see why you raised them for so long. What a fun day that would be to see 10-15 of those bouncing all over.:D Really, it makes me laugh to even think about it. Almost like when I used to watch several little mini foals running circles around their moms. Ahhhh….some things that those "city folk" just never get to experience!

I can hardly WAIT for 2020 retirement! :old
