IMO there are worse things than goat poop that could end up in my car! But then, I am that crazy lady with all the.......
I know my neighbors all raise their eyebrows when they see my '94 Volvo wagon. Oh well! When my minivan died and I wasn't working and had to get DS to preschool friends of ours gave it to us. I love it. It's got over 200k on it and is still going strong. And who cares if it has straw bits, chicken feathers, dog hair, or goat poop!

DS drew me the cutest picture the other day. He knows I love llamas and would love to own some one day. He is also caught up in the goat frenzy here. Well, he came up to me a few days ago and said, "Mom, do llamas have udders?" I blinked and realized I didn't know the answer. I came up with something like, not big ones like cows or goats but they do feed their babies milk. That was apparently acceptable. He disappeared for a while and came back with the sweetest picture of a baby llama nursing from its mother. He labeled it Llama Love. :love
We picked up the fence from DH's coworker. We still need posts and the electric fencing supplies. Hoping for great weather Saturday!!

That was so sweet! :love There is one thing I totally miss about teaching pre-k and kindergarteners (Yes, I know your boy is a bit older but...) the little boys! So uncomplicated, so happy, so sweet! (At or about that age anyway.)

The little girls were/are awesome too, but in a different way.

Ok, you only have my most favorite car in the world!!! I too had an old volvo wagon (1980 volvo DL wagon)!! It was made out of rebar and steal! Well, it seemed like it anyhow.

By the time it was ready to retire it had well over 250k on it. I still cry over getting rid of that car. :(

Hands down, the best car ever made. Until Ford took over. :/

Continuing from earlier:
So, the behavior checklist I got home from DS's teacher today was so annoying. Everyday he has two goals and he is rated from 1-3 on each, 3 being the best. For about a month they were controlling impulsive behaviors and focusing on his work. Lately she's noted a great improvement in his impulsivity so she changed it to focusing on work and getting his work done at a faster pace. That was yesterday. Today the goals read
1. Pedal to the metal
2. Reduce the 'figits'
:hu
Yeah, so after I figured out that 'figits' were actually "fidgets" I read on. Seems she was out of the room doing individual reading testing all day and there was a sub in the room. The sub gave him 3s on both goals. However, the teacher's note states that he was very 'figity' during his test and missed Art class. My mom was subbing in another classroom and talked to the teacher at one point. She did mention that he missed Art but never said it was because he was fidgety during his testing time. Besides, unless I'm mistaken it's a timed test! So while it may have affected his score, it should not have affected how long it took him to take the test.
The upsetting part? They only have Art once a month as it is! And we only have two and a half weeks of school in June so they may not even have Art next month. I'm not happy.
I emailed her and said I was sorry to hear that his fidgeting may have affected his test score and that I was disappointed to hear he missed Art. Later this week or early next I will be writing a letter to the principal explaining that we are withdrawing him. I expect to have at least a phone conversation with her about it. If some of these issues come up I want the teacher to know first that I wasn't happy.
Mom was told by one of the paraprofessionals in that room that teacher spent an hour on her cell phone earlier in the week trying to iron out some credit card issue. While the class was at their desks doing independent work. Um. Ok. And today she was on the phone ordering mulch. :th We can't figure out why the principal doesn't do anything about it. She is not the kind of administrator who hides in her office all day. She has to know what is going on. The rest of the staff all do. Mom heard about this from another source later on.
DS says the school pyschologist has not seen him since our meeting last week. He is supposed to be doing some attention screening on him. Whatever.
Ugh, I can't wait to be done!

I've got a crockpot full of chili going so I can grab a scoop for my lunch. 4 more Thursdays at the high school before finals. I'll only be able to see my students who don't attend regular classes that day. Makes the end of the year seem that much closer.

My naturopath and I were discussing this eczema like rash I've been dealing with for a while now. She suggested a two week dairy free trial (no I haven't mentioned the goats to her yet. I'm getting them anyway!!) The rash started about a week before I started seeing her. I can't figure out what it could be. I alse get weird itchy bumps on the backs of my hands intermittently. So she thinks it may be food related. I've gone 6 days with no dairy so far. No changes yet. I'm really hoping that it isn't a dairy allergy. I can deal with gluten free. But no dairy would just stink. It already stinks. I miss my homemade yogurt and fresh berries. I miss my raw milk. I miss cheese. I miss my homemade bleu cheese dressing. :barnie

Oh, what else can I whine about? Eh, that's enough for one night!
Early day tomorrow. Bedtime!

Ugh, I forgot to empty out DS's lunch bag last night. Okay, it wasn't too gross BUT I found a charge slip from the cafeteria for $1.50. What the heck???? He is not supposed to be buying anything from them since neither he nor the cafeteria staff are gluten and dairy experts. So when he woke up I asked him what he bought. "Nothing!" He was insistent. Usually if he's covering something up I can wear him down pretty quickly. Nope, not this time. So I am hoping it's just an error on their part. I sent it back with a note requesting an explanation and a reminder not to sell him anything.
Honestly.........

Thanks Gina!
28 days after today I think. Since I work with my High School students only once per week I've started thinking of it as 5 Thursdays to go. Makes the end seem closer. The job is going fine, it's DS's issues I need a break from!
AND we found out yesterday at a professional development meeting that not one but two of the speech people are leaving. Meaning I could get moved again.

It is all how we measure time isn't it! We have a particularly boring and awful adaptive PE class on Wednesdays. We are now saying only 3 more PE classes to go!

This is even more funny because there is actually 4 more weeks of school left!! :p

You son is so cute. Brings back memories of my oldest and baseball. It was a pain and I usually spent the entire game trying to keep my youngest from running away or leaving a path of destruction, but I am glad we did it :p

"Fidgits" got him removed from art class???

WTH?

He is a BOY. He is YOUNG. OF COURSE HE IS GOING TO "FIGIT"!!!

That teacher is a power abusive NUT BAG!

My son is physically incapable of NOT fidgeting. If you try to get him to stop he has a total meltdown. It is a pressure relief valve of sorts.
