Yeah, sure, just as soon as I'm done with mine.......
Did I mention the insane squirrel who lives in ours and scares the poo out of me when I forget to knock and warn it that I'm entering???
Me: Knock knock, it's just me. Please don't jump on my head or anything. Please? Okay? I'm coming in now. Aaahhhhhhhh! (as squirrel skitters overhead to the vent and out into the trees.

Neighbor cleaning up dog poo on the other side of the fence, at the back of the shed: Honey, call the looney bin. She's talking to herself again.

:hide

That thing totally freaks me out, every time!! DH has got to figure out how to keep it out!

Ha! DH didn't believe me. I kept finding one duck in a chicken nest box, about 18 inches off the floor. He insisted it was from one of our white egg layers but I know a duck egg when I see one. He just went to tuck everyone in and found Pat the Khaki Campbell in the nest box sitting on about 9 eggs, 8 chicken, 1 duck. :plbb
I win!

I am in fits of giggles because Sister E., the principal of DS's future Catholic school is now on Facebook.
I think I need a little maturity before next fall...

Your son sounds like hes doing great. :thumbsup It is amazing what a small intervention at the right time can do.

That shed looks just perfect. I love your idea of the Hostas. I can just see it now all clear with the big leafy plants off to the side. I can't wait to see the final product.

have a great day.

Well, we need to start by clearing everything out, giving it a good sweeping, and then purging what's in there. Then we need to plan what will go where and make a good storage area for the hay. I think DH can cover the openings with heavy wire fencing to keep the squirrel out. It's been an issue since last year and I'm starting to feel a little silly.
Thanks for the compliments. DH built the shed from old barn wood and I love it. We contemplated staining it when I was doing the coop/barn, but we both really kind of like the weathered wood. I will repaint the doors and trim this summer.

Just down. I think it's hormonal (sorry if TMI!). I'm just feeling like the goats are never going to happen. No one gets back to me except Free, my top supporter/enabler.... I'm not patient about stuff like this anyway. I just want a date that we'll be able to bring the kids home and an answer about whether the MA Nubians are still for sale and when we can go look at them.
Work is busy which helps. Home is messy which doesn't. I need a good solid day at home to clean. I mean, no DH, no DS. A day in this house to purge and clean and reorganize. I have more energy than I've had in a long time, but not that much yet. Ugh! Whine, whine, whine.
DS seems to have had a good day at school. I was concerned because he had a chocolate stain on his white shirt after school. The organization that sponsors their pen pal connection always provides snacks when they get together. I forgot I had sent in muffins for the nurse's freezer for him. I had put Ah-laska chocolate syrup on top. He stuck his finger in and had a taste! Dripped on his shirt. Their group snack was Doritos and Cheetos  He not only told me that he declined them because he knew they had cheese and "other bad stuff" but that he checked the label on the apple juice box to look for corn syrup of any kind. Then he had his substitute teacher check too. Wow, he's really starting to get it! His pollen allergies have not been as bad. I think he is figuring out he feels better.
It's pouring rain which isn't helping my mood, except that my little veggie corner on the back deck is happy. There's just so much to do and not enough time right now. We'll get there. Just not fast enough for me.......
