good grief, girl, you've been busy! That street festival sounds fun, we don't really have much like that here. Although, we are having a festival on the James River this weekend but something tells me I'm not gonna make it......

I hated it when I had students that seemed to be making progress and then something stupid screws it up. 10 days suspension.....must have been something serious.

Pretty sure it was fighting. A lot of his speech issues are because of a beating he suffered in a fight last year.
This street fest is really kind of unique around here, especially since it happens every month in the warm months. We try not to miss it!

No kidding, huh? The truth is he was posing....
It turns out his teacher has 5th disease and there's a bunch of pregnant people at school. That's the story we're getting anyway. The paras who don't like her have their doubts. My mom was in the office yesterday when one of them came in to complain that teacher had left the same work two days in a row this week so the sub had nothing for them to do. Lovely!

That teacher sounds like quite a find. I hope that the school is keeping a close eye on her...she really seems useless.

Forgot to finish the story.....
The scene ended with the para starting to say something not so nice and the secretary saying, "I know, D., I know....it never changes." So they do know. Why nothing gets done about it, I don't know. I have a lot of respect for the principal. It takes a lot to get rid of a teacher. I'd love to see her performance review to see what gets covered there....

Thank goodness for end of the year field trips! I get an extra half hour of planning time! (Should go use it to plan I suppose.....)

17 days. One full week, a 4 day week, a full week and 3 days.
One chunk at a time.
I have made my last phone call to the MA guy with the Nubians I'm afraid. It wasn't meant to be I guess. Numerous emails and voice mails but no response. I only wanted to meet them.........
There are a few goats in milk showing up on Craigslist down here. I will look more closely in the summer when I've got time off.
25.6 lbs gone. Loss has slowed but that's okay. I feel good most of the time. I need more sleep though. Baseball is killing me!

Hen, how long has it been since you changed your diet? Just wondering It sounds like you are doing great.

Sorry about all the school stuff. I am counting down as well. I think I am dreading summer though. I need to keep my brood busy.

I am sorry the goats did not work out. Don't worry there are lots our there. Maybe it was not meant to be. Maybe I should sneak in a couple goats. That would sure give them something to do. Ha!!

The Bison you Mayor has, is it one of the pretty painted ones like they have all over Yellowstone???

I have pictures somewhere. They are incredible.

Have a great weekend.

Hey Gina!
It's been roughly 3 months?? I am honestly not keeping track or worrying about it much. I'm just eating healthy and feeling good! I did get on the Wii balance board this morning and it's crept down a little more still. I'm at about 26 lbs. No goals, just doing my thing! And had to buy a few new clothes. I love Coldwater Creek's outlet! I didn't spend much on anything and got things that I can take in as I lose more.
I tried to find a photo of the mayor's buffalo. It is not fancy at all. It is literally just a buffalo! About life sized, brown. He might tie a red bow around it at Christmas time. Everytime I try a search I just get guys named Ernie who live in Buffalo NY. Who knew there were so many!?
I have contacted a woman from thegoatspot who has a Saanen doe in milk. She is about to wean her baby. I let her know our situation and said if she was still available when our two little ones come home I'd like to look at her doe. If I don't find a doe in milk that I like I'll just wait, no problem. Like you said they're out there! No sense in rushing and getting the wrong goat. For me, it's all about nice goats and getting some milk.
We have another baseball game at 1 today, then cake and ice cream for one of the players. DS will have to have one of his muffins with a little chocolate sauce.
Other than that we're just busy cleaning up inside and out. Things get behind at the end of the school year. Then we spend all summer catching up!
DH has gone off to Lowes to pick up our new dishwasher. We live .4 miles outside the free delivery range. They were going to let it go but we couldn't get them to come out a time when anyone was going to actually be here.
At least the sun is shining and we should get lots done. I sense a garden center visit in my day today.
