Since her eight month mark will be in November, maybe we should just toss her in with Dorian then and hope for the best!

We could do that. Maybe Donki will have to be my milk goat for another year....

I think it's time to admit we made a mistake in taking in these three Blue Swedish/Runner duck crosses. They are just too loud for our neighborhood. I put an honest plea for a new home for them on BYC but not even a nibble. I'm not ready to resort to Craigslist which is where I found them, but it's getting close. They are soooo much louder than my other two pairs of ducks. My neighbors hate them. My nextdoor neighbor actually said she likes the sound of the goats compared to those three ducks....
Still tweaking the schedule of students at work.
DS is doing well at his new school. Not perfect, but big improvements over last year. There was a town-wide cross country race for all the elementary schools this afternoon. DS's new best buddy was there so I got to meet his mom. The boys are two peas in a pod. I couldn't believe the similarities as we discussed them. The biggest difference is that after 1st grade in a public school she pulled her son out and home schooled him for two years. Didn't get solid details as to why she's decided to put him back in school. She held him back and entered him as a third grader even though she could have put him into 4th grade. We exchanged emails. Her son has a birthday party coming up. The school has an "everyone must be invited" rule if invitations are handed out in class, so she was thrilled to bump into me. She just wants one or two from school, some from the neighborhood, etc.
Too tired for much more detail. Haven't been sleeping well. I tripped in the goat pen the other night and bashed my knee into a boulder. EVerytime I roll over it wakes me up. :hit

Goats are pretty fertile. She'll be fine.

Ice that knee!

And I would like to re-home a couple of my goats, but know that it won't likely happen. I love those two, but worry about Te'a's safety now. Poor girl. She is such a love, they are great pets. But most people want goats to do a job, not look cute. Maybe I can find a person with a lonely horse. These two are used to horses. If not, the carpentry skills will be put to use again, and more....you guessed it, more fencing! :barnie

If I had room I'd take them in a heartbeat..... even trade you three noisy ducks for them! ;) Donki is a bonker but no horns... Thomas has one little bit of a horn that grew back, fell off, grew back, fell off, grew back, fell off and grew back. The other one fell off two weeks and isn't growing back this time! She'd be safe here, but I'm full up with three!
Daisy says to tell Dorian hi ;) ;) ;) :hugs

Hen I have a solution for your loud ducks vs. the neighbors -insert giggles- have your son start trombone lessons and only let him practice outside. The duck noise sounds like a choir of angels compared to that  Well, that's what we are doing. It may not work for everyone.

I was calling our ducks Fran Drescher 1,2, 3, and 4. But last night I saw an old episode of Friends and it had Janice...I about fell out of my chair. That's what they sound like  I may have to name my drakes Joey and Chandler.

 Janice is my MIL's name!!!!
I had named these three after three female relatives. My grandmother's first name was Edna, but she never used it. Her mother was Maude, and Louise was my mother's sister's middle name.
I guess the part I left out is that they not only annoy the neighbors, we just don't like them ourselves..... :barnie
Free has resorted to censoring her buck.... tell him Daisy is still under age. He could be arrested!

I think Dorian may be a bit younger than Daisy, so he already told me that that threat is not valid. Then he pee'd on me, danced around me, and bonked the fence just because.
